@insomnium
It is important to realize that not every gamer has the passion that those on n4g (or any other gaming site) do. I doubt many will even give much thought about this game being exclusive, or how it wound up as such.
1.7 million on 360.
2.2 on ps3, i believe.
Where in that .5 difference is the point that gamers start "caring."
That said i do think this is money that could be better spent by MS. I won't take any buisiness move personally, however.
This game looks very nice, graphically.
Im always down for a spongebob reference
Lol to say that about any console is ignorant. I used to bash the Wii and original Xbox but when i owned one i realized both had a ton of hidden gems.
@Spotie
Dreamfall chapters is a cherished series, too. It's a classic PC game. I wasn't getting this on Wii U but i am excited for it.
Tomb Raider has NEVER been Playstation exclusive. Even if it was, that's still makes this a hypocritical reaction to an exclusive being bought from the competition.
The new tomb raider sold 1.71 million on 360 and 2.24 million on PS3, that's a lot of 360 fans.
I feel like i've read this comment a million times...
Its just like how Xbone loyalists keep moving the "wait until" goalpost in regards to Xbone sales.
Id love to be the wrong one here and the Vita goes on to sell well, but Sony is putting their priority on their two profitable, successful systems and it looks to stay that way for a while as the Vita is relegated to PS4 peripheral status.
I dont think that should happen. A lot of them are clones. Like how many people want young link or dr mario back?
Actually the Titanfall reveal was barely a year ago, not over two years ago.
OT the COD series is losing ground and Activision needs to recapture interest if they want to stay #1. But they're still basically competing with their own records every year (save gta 5) so COD's definitely not going anywhere soon.
@Dunban
No they didn't fix it. I dont mind it though. I play super mario RPG with the gamepad in its stand.
I dont get this either. The losses on the first years of the Xbox and 360 were triple this number.
It allows you to play games at a distance on a smaller screen, in that sense it is a similar feature.
Actually a lot of games do. Every game on the virtual console and all of the wii's 1000+ titles are streamable to the gamepad, in addition to every wii u game that is, too. That's more than what's playable on remote play. They both have their perks, the remote play obviously has greater range and the wii u has better framerate. Remote play is more convenient and o...
Its good i just wish they wouldve taken the time to improve the game technically. It still has atrocious load times and the game slowd down a lot every time it autosaves
@Tedakin
Actually very few ps2 games were 480p. Although the competitors' systems had a lot of 480p titles. But thats kind of to be expected since the PS2 had an earlier release, and the almighty power of higher FPS and resolutions failed to sway consumers back then.
Its actually really impressive how well silent hill 1 holds up for a ps1 game. I remember in the otherworld hospital i checked every door on like all three floors so im like "well damn..." and then when i go in the elevator this mysterious 4th floor button appears out of nowhere.
No audio cue or build-up... just that ominous button staring at me. It messed with me bad.
I feel like it takes away from the identity of the console. You shouldve been there when KH1.5 had a petition for 360, this website was on its head.
@InTheLab
Although i'd like to actually see ANY data regarding the profitability of the gamecube before i agree with you, my point still stands.
The Gamecube was MORE of a success than the Xbox, despite coming in "third place", because the Gamecube didn't lose the company anywhere near as much money as the original Xbox.
Also i'd gladly challenge you on the Xbone outselling the Wii U by end of this year or early next. I...
I think MS has more potential than Nintendo. I mean the Wii U, even with a market much bigger now than 2001, is selling worse than the gamecube. Even then, MS' first console on the market beat the gamecube. However those two consoles are perfect examples of why "places" don't matter. The Xbox was a commercial failure and the Gamecube was a small success. These companies need to make money, and Nintendo has more potential to make profit because of the crazy dedication to thei...
I wonder what they'll make next.
It doesnt seem a lot of Nintendo's devs are making 3ds games at the moment.
I don't know how anyone could call TLOU the best game ever. Your favorite game ever, sure, but for something to be the best it would have to be innovative, ground-breaking, influential, a game that is so perfect in the way it is artistically crafted and so perfect in the way it makes the player feel when they play it. The Last of Us is fantastic, 9.5/10, but there is nothing it does on a gameplay basis that is influential or fresh. It is a typical formula that is finely crafted to fit the...
