First off, let me say this is a great idea, and i like how it gives people with ideas an opportunity (although i don't see why it has to be relegated to women for any reaaon other than to boost a statistic).
But i fail to see what you mean by "games aimed at women". I mean most women, myself included, play the same stuff guys do. I can't really think of a game i play that they wouldn't, or vice versa.
The way i see it, EVERY well-designe...
@zeldadoth
Like i said, would you count FF13 as a new IP? It has all the things you said Xenoblade had.
I dont think that is indicative of losing magic at all. I actually find the dlc karts hilarious in their out of placeness. The lack of new IP's is indicative in my opinion. Obviously the usual fanboy rhetoric of naming Xenoblade (Xeno series has been around since PS1, thats like calling FF13 a new series because the combat is different), The Last Story, Pandora's Tower (both games just published by Nintendo, not developed), and a bunch of obscure eshop games will come up because i sai...
Im inclined to agree... but we'll see as we get closer to release whether or not they advertise it.
This is a very cool idea. Im sure a lot of people without programming expertise have ideas in their head for games
Also as a side note, not sure how many of you have actually eaten at Five Guys but i highly recommend. Although once you open that greasy bag and get a glimpse of their burgers you'll feel about about as guilty as Z.Q. o_o...
What is with this casual to core ratio you keep bringing up? Most of what you say makes sense and then you have to go and ruin it with that.
Casual games sell like s*** on the Wii U. Casuals didn't buy the Wii U, they bought its predecessor. Wii Fit U is the worst selling nintendo game on the platform. All those goofy party and fitness games have totally bombed. The only casual game on the system that experienced any success was Wii Party U, and that's because the Jap...
Maybe im missing something, and i hate SJW and feminists, but what's the proof that she screwed her way to... wherever she is now. I mean there's supposedly an ex saying it right? But how do we know its real? I mean i've had some pretty nutty ex's... we all have.
Not trying to damage control, just curious if im missing anything.
I think because the game appeals to an audience outside of nintendo fans it'll outsell MK8's boost. Same with Bayonetta 2 and Xenoblade.
Mario kart 8 will no doubt help for the holidays though.
See your last comment i didn't agree with but this one i do.
Nintendo should either buy third party content, or buy studios to create a steadier stream of games. Either way they have to spend some money already.
Hold up, Deus Ex is a 3 year old game. Also EVERY version of Deus Ex: HR Director's Cut was 29.99 and they foolishly charged 50 bucks for JUST the Wii U version.
It is a damn shame W101 did not sell. Nintendo failed to advertise it outside of a Direct that probably only reached an audience of people already planning to buy it.
Zombi U was mediocre as all hell. It made good use of the hardware but was not a very good game and im honestly surprised over 1...
Sticker Star is crap.
I think one of the biggest problems with that game aside from the totally bonkers combat, is that they gave Bowser NO DIALOGUE. He was the funniest character in all the Mario rpg's, and they took all that out and just made him silent. Then they replaced the interesting stories of Super Paper Mario and TYD with "oooh there's a festival but bowser crashes it" for the millionth time. Gee, how thrilling.
I heard they did it...
If they launched alongside the other two consoles i honestly think itd be in a better position. It had like 9 months of toxic press questioning its future.
Imagine, with the PS4 and Xbone going through the current drought they'd have all these games ready to release and the system's software would be up to date.
I find it strange they'd reveal this and fatal frame outside of a nintendo direct.
Agreed. Xenoblade was honestly one of the only true JRPGs of last gen, as in one that took the genre to the next level rather than stagnating, sequelizing, or even going backward... all of which FF13 is guilty of.
It really is an odd game if you think about it. It has no goombas or koopas or anything like that which is actually pretty fresh.
The core concepts of sunshine are really good, i wish you could better control your momentum with the hover or maybe switch nozzles on the fly to make platforming more complex. The untapped (hehe, pun) potential with FLUDD is what would make a great sunshine sequel.
Sort of agree with? You fight blooper twice, that monster on the mound of goo 5 times, petey twice...
Umm... you played the pachinko mission right? Or how about the accursed watermelon mission? Or any level with the boat (especially the one in lava)?
I never said sunshine was bad, but there are glaring issues with it that i would seriously hope Nintendo would fix in a remake 10+ years later.
The main issue with remaking Sunshine is that there's a lot about it that really should be changed.
Like the voice acting is god awful, but does removing it rather than improving it count as a solution?
Also the wonky physics and repetitive missions.
It seems like it would be a wasted opportunity to make an HD remake but not fix these problems.
@gootimes
To be honest i have no idea what you're referring to. Are you talking about how you craft your own supplies? It's been a year since i beat the game, feel free to refresh me on this revolutionary looting mechanic i must've overlooked. And i never said the gameplay wasn't unique, I just credit its uniqueness the same way i do Deus Ex... it mashes together elements from different genres to create something sublime, and that is unique in a way.
...
@gootimes
You've never played Bioshock? Or System Shock? A lot of games revolve around looting. Also i remember in Far Cry 2 where you had to pick bullets out of yourself on the fly. But looting and searching for supplies has been a classic of survival horror since day 1. TLOU took typical third person shooter formula, and fit into its own world with stealth and scavenging and did it in an excellent way. And TLOU's multiplayer was actually very interesting, but i'...
Its becayse Rumble sucked and wasn't a proper Pokemon game. It was also not advertised at all... and digital only on top of that.
Now that amiibo has been properly introduced, a proper pokemon game would be huge.
