your horse analogy is not the same thing.
first we had horses...then we had small roads for horses. then we had horses pulling small one or two man carts. then we made the roads bigger. then the carriages came, then the roads got bigger still and so on. when cars came along, the infrastructure was already there...there were already roads (albeit, crude ones for automobiles). it was a natural progression.
what sony did was completely redo the processor wh...
No question...the guys at Crytek are freaky geniuses.
it's simply because cryengine was built with PC architecture in mind. and the 360 architecture is much more similar to that of a PC than the PS3 is. good or bad, that's just what it is. at least sony took some initiative and helped them optimize for the cell, though i think they should be obligated to do that for all 3rd party developers seeing as how they are the ones that decided to go with the cell instead of sticking to a tried and true architecture that everyone has been comfo...
i can't believe i'm going to say this because i'm rarely an early adopter, but i'm really starting to feel like i might need to upgrade to a 3D tv. gonna do my best to wait til end of the year for the deals. we'll see.
you have to read more than the title. you've got it backwards. the rumor is that it would be a timed exclusive for sony...not ms.
i was actualy happy to see a kid in the video. kids are basically off limits when it comes to violence in video games. creates a bit of a disconnect from the immersion. fallout 3 was a good example of this.
as for the author. if you don't know the difference between 'have' and 'of', (eg. "could have" or "could've" NOT "could of") then you shouldn't be a journalist. damn, that's annoying. you learn contracti...
capitalism is hardly "survival of the fittest" when our retarded government is shelling out trillions of dollars to keep a hyper-corrupt banking system afloat.
so delusional
just because you people can't wrap your heads around the legalities of the issue doesn't make Geohot's arguments any less relevant.
if sony were smart, they'd give this kid a job and drop the law suit.
bottom line in all this...sony only cares about the bottom line (making lots of money). even if it means frivolous law suits against people for doing things that have already been deemed legal by the courts.

we also live in a world where sony sold faulty PS2s for years and you people still idiotically defend them to the death. and while MS should be ashamed of themselves for their early hardware, at least the offered a 3 year extended warranty to make it right. can't say that about sony
and firstknight is right about one thing, if this were about 360 all the same people here being apologists for sony would be slamming 360. you ARE hypocrites. grow up
Bo Burnham
he's immature? talk about the pot calling the kettle black.
I didn't say it was bad, or unoriginal, or anything negative about it.
i said it's simplistic...
That's the first thing that came to my mind as well. although, the art style of Mirrors Edge is so simplistic, i bet it could be done on multiple engines and you wouldn't know the difference.
COD is already one of the most noobfriendly shooters you can play...why you think it sells so well?
didn't even know splinter cell was coming to 3DS...that just about sold me.
oh good, ANOTHER video game review site that prescribes to the "from 9 to 10" grading scale. ZZZzzz
i don't see how COD gameplay is anything like Halo.
anyway, here's how it would be special:
1. Activision cancels the project
2. Activision shuts down all studios working on future COD titles
3. Activison publicly apologizes for single handedly dumbing down the expectations of an entire generation of gamers
2 completely predictable and immature comments in such a short space...ah, good to be back on n4g.
yeah i played it, a lot...Seriously
and Gears 2, but the multiplayer was horribly broken, so not as much....Seriously..... 2.0
i knew if i looked in on this thread i'd see some noob focusing on semantics just so he could have an excuse to insult the author without actually having to read. predictable.
gears of war is essentially an FPS. if a game genre is defined purely on camera perspective, then a very large percentage of adventure and "action" games could just be called third person shooter. would you call ratchet and clank a third person shooter? how about uncharted? resident e...
you're right about the mindless part of michael bay movies. ..but fun? not unless you watch em with the Rifftrax.
