just because it's sort of different, doesn't make it good. it's a very bad game...and a 7/10 is far too generous.

There is no way this is happening. Wii 2 hasn't even been formally announced. which means the soonest it would launch would be end of the year (which is HIGHLY unlikely). but lets say that it is coming in 2011...the money being invested in battlefield 3 is already very high. do you really think they'd suddenly invest more resources to port it to a system with a 0 install base?

Keaton was a better batman, Nicholson was a MUCH better joker. Ledger was basically do a Steve Urkel impersonation.
Puzzles were more challenging in Portal, the story was better, and the commentary was actually funny. In portal 2 it's just an onslaught of fat jokes.
this is a pretty immature comment...especially given that that's EXACTLY what ps3 fanboys would do too (and usually end up doing with almost every other game - since this is one of the few where ps3 is the clear winner). i don't see how you can pretend that one type of fanboy is worse than the other.
the 45 dollars on steam deal was actually one of the worst deals i've seen. which was very surprising.
there is no contest here. but i have to say...the 360 version looks like it was almost intentionally made to look worse..like it's not being displayed in the proper resolution or something. it looks worse than the first portal on 360. something doesn't seem quite right here.
either way, ps3 is far and away the clear winner here. i opted for the ps3 version solely for the PC key, but i guess it worked out anyway.

uncharted 2 was good...it was NOT a "masterpiece." i don't get this praise. it was a very fun game worthy of multiple play-throughs and it had a satisfying multiplayer that stood the test of time. why overstate it?
as for the beta, i hope it's not limited to PS plus members...or i guess i'll finally be getting PS plus. :-P

Sony is a bit out of control in all this as well. treating every user as if they are a criminal. they went after the ip of every person who just visited geohot's site. if they try to go after FB users for agreeing to not buy their products for a day, that would be incredibly bad PR.
smartest thing sony could do...bring coffee and donuts for the ppl doing the sit in. that's what i would do anyway.

There is no indication from the first 2 games that the 3rd would be anything but a soulless, vulgar, boring experience where even the in game characters seem like they are completely disinterested in what's going on.
i think it's pretty obvious that within a year we're going to see a new model. probably one with much better battery life. i'm very interested...but imma wait til either that happens OR they get some games that truly make the system worth owning.
you wouldn't get a new console every year. you'd get a COD system designed to last forever (since COD is always on the same engine). you'd just have to pay a huge monthly fee to use it, and you wouldn't be able to play any shooters but COD and bungie's new game. and people would buy it too.
