Gaming is not a sport! I think gaming would be like chess, and I don't think it is considered a sport. Anyway, why is it so important that gaming is considered a sport in the first place? Is it so that people who play video games can say that the play sports?
In my opinion, there's nothing wrong with gaming not being a sport, but I do feel there's a lot wrong being considered one. But still, who cares? People can still do tournaments, and enjoy it.
For me, Demons Souls and Dark Souls were the most innovative games last generation. The unique online game was truly innovative, and started the seamless online gameplay that is becoming common in upcoming games like The Division.
More companies need to take these kind of risks. The industry is becoming full of sequels and yearly releases. It wasn't always like that though. Ubisoft started let gen badly, but they improved a lot recently. They are becoming one of the best developers around. Their games have had very good quality and gameplay.

I wish Sony had third party exclusives again. They had a lot of them in the PS2 era, and even though it's harder to get developers to agree to an exclusive title, I hope Sony can make them happen this generation. Microsoft has tons of money to waste, but maybe if the PS4 sells much better than the Xbox One, they can get deals happen.
MS loves to play dirty. They care more about destroying the competition, than doing great things for themselves. If they spent all that time and resources in making games and building first party studios, then there would not be any need of a "parity clause" in the first place.

Sadly, I think Sony is just fine with it being a PS4 companion, since they confirmed that every single studio is doing PS4 games. I don't see a great future in original made-for-vita games.
It's impossible for that to happen because of the time it takes to make the games. Actually, that is the reason why Sony started saying that the PS3 would have a 10 year lifespan.

Yeah, I hate it too. Not only the ads, but the design of the site. One time they were making graphics comparisons, but they had the screenshots of each version separate, so there was no way to compare them right. Actually, the entire gallery design is awful.

I think MGSV is being a mess. First, Kojima started trolling everyone when they announced the two versions without clearing anything up and confusing all. Then he didn't want to clarify if the games would be sold separately. Then, didn't want to confirm if the game was going to be digital or retail, but for Japan it would be. Then all the content for Xbox One and PS4.

You are completely right, but I was talking more about the announcements than the games being released. I know the games take time, and hopefully by this time next year we will get the first AAA game for PS4 and Xbox One. However, by the time the PS3 and 360 released, there were already many games announcements to look forward to. Like:

What I don't like about this generation (PS4, Xbox One) so far is that there's still too much focus on cross gen games. When the PS3 and 360 launched, there were only announcements of new games and new IPs. This time, there's a lot of games that are being ported to PS4/One and not many new games made specifically for the new generation.

The team that made BBS is making KH3 at the moment, so I am hopeful they can make a great game, although I would have preferred that the original team was doing it.
Let's see how it all goes down. They already announced that the graphics won't be like the CGI but more cartoony. While it's good for Disney characters, my desire of having a CGI (FFXV-like) looking game will never be done :(
