I heard it was a completely different story, just in the Mass Effect universe.
They surely had to learn their lesson with the backlash they got for Mass Effect 3. They will definitely deliver this time. Also, they change to Frostbite will be great for the franchise. I can't wait to see how it looks!
I don't like the character. The design is weird and doesn't seem likable to me, and the voice doesn't help at all. I mean, I knew I wanted to try Ratchet and Clank because the design of the characters were fun, and their personalities matched. The same with Crash Bandicoot, Jak and Dexter, etc.
Knack seems always mad when he is evolved. When he is small you would expect a higher voice, like a kid or something. It's weird. I just don't find it likable or r...
Photos... it does not support photos at launch.
3D in theaters are a big thing, at home not so much. Like PS4isKing said, a lost of manufacturers announced 4K TVs WITHOUT 3D this year at CES. It's very likely that new TVs for next year won't come with 3D.
Found it!
"When the power turns on, the power indicator blinks in blue, and then lights up in white."
So it's like how the Wii was always advertised with the blue light, but in reality in only turned on when receiving messages and notifications.
With the PS4, it only blinks blue when the system is being turned on, and then it remains white as long as the system is on.
It should have been the other way around.
So why in the manual says it doesn't? Confusing
EDIT: This might be the manual for the 1.00 software. There might be an update to reflect the changes of the FW 1.50
Edit 2: Nope, actually it says the guide is for FW 1.50. So we will have to wait to have it.
Like I wrote in the comment above. Sony has stopped supporting 3D. I bought a 3D TV in December 2011 and I have only used it twice. I played Uncharted 3 in 3D and have watch ONE movie in 3D.
I know there are people who enjoy 3D, but I think that it is better in cinemas than in a TV. I think that Sony is pushing SimulView more than 3D nowadays.
It doesn't bother me that much as long as they will actually put all those features soon. The moment they confirm a feature such as photos, BluRay 3D, DLNA, etc won't ever make it back, that's when I would start to worry.
The PS3 came a long way from the UI that was released at launch. They added many features.
The reason that a lot of features are missing, might be due to the fact that they wanted to have the basic stuff first so that they coul...
I wanted to comment on that. You beat me to it.
It is very weird that Blu Ray 3D is not supported. Sony decreased the support of 3D, but never thought they would actually remove support of Blu Ray too.
Another thing to notice. The light of the PS4 never turns blue! According to the manual, when the PS4 is on, it turns WHITE, in standby mode turns ORANGE, and when overheating turns RED. They don't mention if the light changes color when a disc is inserted,...
That idea might have been a good idea in the 90's when there was no internet and no social media.
Today we have Youtube, social media, etc so that developers can show us the games and judge for ourselves.
Also, what does giving journalist these awesome gifts and stuff has to do with passing along the information? I think is unfair that the consumer which pay for the product can't get those things and can't see the games, etc.

I think that Microsoft hired him because of the job he made at Sony. That has to be the reason they hired Phil Harrison. Jeff might have got himself a great offer to work for them. I don't see him asking for a job at Xbox, but the other way around.
Microsoft know how deep they are in PR with all mistakes they have done, so they hired the guy who did a great job in fixing Sony's with the blog.
My guess is that Microsoft will do some kind of community...
The only very minor thing I don't like is that the notifications overlap the information in the corner. They should have left a small space so that the notification appears below the stuff in the corner.
Why are always things revealed to the press instead to the public that, you know, buy the product? Sony had this event for journalists to attend and they gave them swag and engraved PS4, and show them its features and all, but the public is the one that needs to see that stuff to make a decision whether to buy the console or not.
Publishers give the press beautiful review games with awesome art, cases, gifts, etc when people would pay much more for it, but instead, we get rus...
I think that Yoshida means that by restricting memory to developers they have room for expanding the OS. However, I think that when games start to grow, and adding features on the PS4 start to decrease, developers will have the memory back. With the PS3, Sony gave the memory to developers, but because of that, they were unable to add features like cross game chat or a proper in game XMB. With this new strategy it will be beneficial for both the UI team and developers
Also, t...
I don't get why journalists and some other people insist that mobile devices will bring the end to consoles. It's not the case and they are different markets. They believe that since everyone has a phone, people will choose to play on it, instead of buying a PS4 or Xbox One, or whatever. That is false. People who buy a console is because they want the best in technology. They are looking for great experiences, whether is single player games, multiplayer, or F2P games. Games on mobile ...
I think people loved Toon Link because he was very expressive. He was the first (and only, actually) Link to have great expression in his eyes and face for every thing that happened around him. You could tell if he was scared, happy, nervous, etc.
And a lot of people loved Wind Waker for the variety of the worlds and gameplay it had.
Very smooth!
I'll be using remote play a lot! It's nice to see it working great. Hopefully developers take advantage of it properly and assign button configurations that make sense for the Vita, and also use its features.
They won't announce big games. VGAs are coming soon and they will reserve the big title for it. We will probably see games from indie developers and not so big first party developers. As well as already announced games from first and third party.
"It's not simply a controller we'll "put up with" for the rare exclusive PS4 titles"
RARE exclusive PS4 titles? If the PS3 is any indication, PlayStation exclusives are anything but rare.
One minor thing I don't like about the UI is that the recent items move to the left. I think that should be optional and customizable. I should be able to move the tiles in the order I want, and also be able to hide them. Anyway, a lot to impr...
