3-D will be standard for sure, but without glasses.
Sony does need help with TV sales. Their world TV market share is only 5.9% which puts them in 5th place behind Samsung, LG and Panasonic. The very few 3-D sets that are being sold right now are mainly from Samsung and Panasonic.
I'm more of an XBOX guy, but I'm siding with Sony on this one. 3-D on an Imax screen is immersive... 3-D on a DS is a joke. Besides which, 3-D is still not perfected without glasses. Killzone 3 in 3-D is a the better idea, even though you still need a 60" plus TV to get a true immersive feeling. All the Mitsubishi DLP's have been 3-D ready for the past 3-4 years. I have seen the 73"ers as low as $1000.00 a couple of times, and they put out a great pic. Bulb replacements ...
I would compare stories like this getting approved and put up on N4G, the same as the New York Times and it's stories... It's like a bunch of liberals out there trying to spread their hate, and it's embarrassing.
To be honest, the final verdict on Kinect won't be out for a while. Maybe Microsoft will have it going at the Comic Con. I'm sure Sony will have Move on dislay.
Everyone is so wrapped up in Kinect VS. Move that they have forgotten, and are underestimating, with just how well the newer 360 is going to sell... This is going to go beyond typical "slim" launch increased sales numbers. Microsoft added more to it to go along with it's mini Alienware looks.

The general public and casual gamer don't come to gaming message boards and don't have a clue about what E3 is. Come this holiday season they will see comercials for Move and Kinect. All will say that the Move is just like the Wii control, but still will be interested in it as having another choice for a purchase. However, here we go again on the prices:

I saw some lag with both devices. At E3, I noticed lag from the Move with the golf demo. Nothing is perfect, and if you look hard enough for a negative your going to find it. Just go over AVSform.com. to do some research on TV's. People are so anal over there that they have a saying... "Come to AVSforums, a place where you learn to become unhappy". Because everyone finds faults with every make and model. Nothing is perfect, only perfect intentions.
It's all good still. Most consumers that'll be buying the Kinect don't even know what E3 is. M$ has plenty of time to adverstise and promote Kinect the right way. Their new Kinect/Burger King promo that was just announced is a good start.
If you walk into Best buy, and an employee tries to sell you on something like Marcus does... What would you do? I'd tell him to get the fvck out of my face. Then I'd go talk to a manager, and ask for some free $hit for being harrased.
My 15 and 18 year olds live with their mom. Each have a 360 and share a PS3. Neither of them care for the Kinect, but say they will play it if one of their friends bought it. Now their mom (my ex) HATES video games with a passion, but has read about the Kinect online, and wants one. I told her she will have to by the arcade/kinect bundle which will be $249.99-$299.99, and she said ok.

I am laughing at all the PS3 fanboys attempting to bring this 360 demo down. This is a first person shooter with amazing graphics, which are 2 things you boys didn't give a crap about when you bought a PS2 over the original XBOX.

Kinect is for the casual gamer who never comes near any gaming message board. Everyone can keep talking down about the Kinect here at n4g, but it won't impact $hit! Come this Fall, advertising and the hype will be in overdrive. Like I have said before, this thing is going to get so much free advertising by making the rounds on all the morning shows. Now this being said... I don't give a crap about Kinect. All I want is Halo Reach, Crysis 2 then later Killzone 3.
I think a lot of people are underestimating the increased sales Microsoft is going to get from the "smaller" 360. It's finally got built in wifi, it has a nice sleek Alienware look, runs quieter, smaller chip and a big hard drive. All this Kinect and Move talk is kinda putting the newer 360 in the background.

No hardcore gamer buys a Wii as their sole console. So how has Wii sold so many consoles??? They've gone to the casual and non gamer types. Sony is going to have a hard time convincing the casual/non gamer types to purchase their $400 PS3/Move bundle VS. a $200 Wii.
This isn't the Superbowl! Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo would gladly trade an E3 win for big holiday numbers.
