Half Life Franchise and Portal should not even be compared with each other, because their is no comparison. Half Life franchise owns all!

10 hrs. is long for this day and age. Gone are the days of the Halo: Combat Evolved and Half Life 2 lengthy single player campaigns. Production costs and multiplayer did them in.
I completely agree with this guy. A few sites gave this game 5/10 and 6/10 ratings, and that's fine because at least they've PLAYED the game. But I've seen more ratings between 7-9 out of 10. Between 8-9 is what I would give it. But the hate with words like trash and garbage are coming from people who haven't PLAYED the game... What a fucking joke! Just no credibility what so ever.
Besides a few bugs and inconsistant AI, it was very fun. I played the game very stealthy which took me a while to complete... So much so that it took me 18 hrs. and 5 sec. of gameplay.
The game has massive environments with all the grass, bushes and trees moving. Graphics are pretty good using the latest Chrome engine which is what is being used in the new Dead Island game.

To say something such as this, you obviously must not give a rats ass about what negative feed back your going to get from web sites like N4G. So I won't go there. I'll just say that I'm very much enjoying Homefront.
These stories act is if this game scored straight 4/10's across the board. It got a lot of 7/10-9/10 with some below 7 and a few above 9.
I finished the single player which is too short, but very fun. It leaves you wanting more... Great story!
I let my son borrow it, and has already beat it on the hardest mode. He's also extremely good at the online thing, I mean real good, and he's having a blast with the Online play so far. Although he says he needs to play it a liitle more to give his full review for multiplayer play.

This games single player campaign ownes COD just for the fact that it doesn't have those fucking ennoying enemy AI that respawn over and over just because you don't advance fast enough.
I'm in the middle of the single player right now, and it's very fun! I was having a kickass shootout at a Tiger Direct and Hooters parking lot. A bunch of Koreans caught on fire, then my resistance friend said, "that smells awful... Just put them out of their misery". I let them burn instead, then a 10 point achievement poped up on the screen for "let them burn" LOL!

Yeah, but every single gamer loved and loves the rumble pac. Not everyone likes 3D. Just go visit some movie message boards, and you will find plenty of hate for 3D.
I'm not a fan of handhelds because the screens are to small and not immersive enough. But at least Nintendo went with glasses free 3D. Although the glasses free 3D still needs to be perfected, and is why every manufacturer is working on it right now.
Bottom line... Games are costing so much to make these days. So if a developer prefers the 360 over the PS3 it's most likely because "time is money". All these developers can program for the PS3, but the 360 is more time friendly.
You would have a little more credibility with your comment if you would have actually played the game, and used words such as "not very good" or "I didn't care for it". But not to have played it, and to say you knew it would be "trash" is very narrow minded. To top it off you drag Crysis 2 into your comments. Trash best describes a game such as Chicago Enforcer.
If you can pick off enemy A.I. from a distance, and not have them respawn because you don't advance fast enough, then it's all good.

Half Life 2 is the single greatest game ever made... Or at least the greatest 1st person shooter. I doubt (in this day and age) we will ever see another shooter that is as long and deep as Half Life 2.
We fans have been waiting for any news on the Half life series, and all we get is "it would be fun to remake Half Life 1". You owe us more than this Valve. Thank you!

I gave my PS3 to my kids about a year ago so they could play Killzone 2. They Both have 360's as do most of their friends. 3rd person games we could takem or leavem. I'm going borrow it back to play Killzone 3.
