Kaz and sony totally trolled them. Something makes me think Krazy Ken Might have put him up to it.

MS continues to use underhanded marketing tactics and Sony responds with massive troll. Pretty amusing!

MS "PR" team is going to be very busy over the course of the next few months.

Same games too :) I think I might go with the white one though.

Focusing on more than just graphics is PARAMOUNT imo and focusing squarely on graphics is should be a sin recorded on stone tablets. The fact that any "gamer" could disagree with you I consider absurd.
I'm okay with next gen though provided production costs don't go up and there is enough true creative freedom.

That's what I was thinking, but you worded it so well.

I don't think the situation will be dire enough for them to stop production. Some first party exclusives like pokemon/MH and good marketing would singlehandedly elevate sales. Their decisions will determine if the Wii U sees a meteroic rise like the 3DS.

Personally, I love what nintendo has contributed as well, but I'm not sold on their new system yet. I would pay at most $250 for it IF they managed to rekindle some of the old nintendo magic. For around $350 I could ...

....or a big net, in case Man Bear Pig makes an appearance later in the game.

I agree though and learned to appreciate listening in counter strike.

Sales data pretty much renders his comment null anyway. The video game business did very well even though the slow economy. Also, there are video game machines still breaking sales records, etc. etc. Actually it is such a lucrative industry that it has attracted myriad jackass "businessmen" that don't care about innovation for quality and churn out rehashes as often as possible. I would like to see a day when gamers run the industry.

I think it has more to do with marketing. The masses will buy pretty much anything, if there is a proper buzz created for it, and the Vita is(believe it or not) highly marketable. Although I definitely welcome more Vita games :]

These numbers are inaccurate....(just a friendly reminder)....

For around $850 I could get a gaming laptop. So that is already null.

I'll likely be able to upgrade my PC and buy a PS4 for around the same price. Plus I already have a laptop that performs better than any tablet I know of.

I can see them maybe having a good amount of dedicated GDDR5(or a different solution), like 2 GB+ and a good amount of system RAM if they launch soon. If they buy/produce the ram, processors, etc. they should be able to churn out a formidable system for under $500 imo. They will of course have to find a way to enable devs to continue to improve/optimize games for years to come.

I'm just wondering how anyone could give you a disagree, everything you listed seems perfectly sound.

Also, PS3 backwards compatibility is a great idea because it would enable them to support the system for years to come and people with only PS4 wouldn't miss out either.

same guy disagrees with me apparently.

@miyamoto, hahahahahhaha

They aren't biased against nintendo. They are very successful here. Playstation products sell very well here in the US considering and you will never hear about it.

Sony needs to spread more money around IF they want to take a more mainstream approach here in the states.

MS giving many times more "gifts" to my gamestop employee friends is an example of how things work. This principle applies to the gaming media, etc. as well.

So...

As long as AAA dev costs are reasonable and it is low budget/indy friendly, I welcome more power.

It will likely be powerful enough to run Battlefield 4 and Planetside 2 quite well.

4801d ago 4 agree1 disagreeView comment

Probably correct. It will likely be on PS3/xbox, however, if they can make a PC version, why not PS4 as well.

TechOne: Pretty much and your disagrees likely come from predominately the same source. Looks like they learned 'em good.

Yeah dcbronco, it is up to us to more carefully choose between puppet #2 and puppet #1.

I agree GamerCheese. There is a different/better game store here in CT that is packed every time I go there, so it's not only the economy. Like someone mentioned, there are often 2 or more gamestops within a 1 mile radius, sometimes right across the street from one another, so many are redundant. Here's to hoping they find jobs at other burgeoning game stores.

Was going to mention the marketing because I feel they are strong in other areas. This will be particularly important at launch when/if their "competition" does everything they can to steal their thunder.

Sony lost around $300 dollars per console at launch, which made the comments that it was expensive seem ridiculous.

Bluray was a big win for them though as you probably know and had a lot to do with the high manufacturing costs.

@disagree, a simple google search will verify what I said.

@statix below, haha I just disagreed with you by accident so i'll give you a bubble instead for well said, because you are correct. Also, some people boug...
