One thing: Dark souls is not all that hard if you figure it out. That's the beauty of it for me. At first you just die, but once you know all the secret weapons and hidden paths you get extremely powerful and kill bosses in a few hits. Because it was hard in the beginning it makes the endgame extremely rewarding.
Bullshit. This kind of news has to go away. It's not even news it's just wild speculation after wild speculation.
The important thing about the wii u version are the gamepad features... who cares if the textures etc aren't as sharp. For that i have a pc which will always look better than any console game. The wii u is all about gameplay and innovative controls.
I hope they release some kind of trailer that will show how the gamepad is used. I'm gonna wait for the wii u version if they so it right. Otherwise I go for the pc version, which will be the best in terms of graphic s and framerat...
Bought the game pretty much day one as a download in Europe. Had alot of fun with it, it was a well done game. It looked beautiful and everything. I hope those guys will release for wii u again because they did a great job.
A very bad idea IMHO. Likely to kill the franchise if they're not careful.
Can't agree more. On of the most fun experiences I had with gaming in the last few years. It made me sweat and shout stuff like "take that" at the TV :D for me it proved that motion controls can work and be alot of fun if done right.
If they give me a nice wiiu version with maps and inventory on the gamepad they will get full money from me. If not I'll buy it on the next steam sale.
If you want next gen gameplay and concepts you have to look at the pc (indie!) or ... yes ... Wii U.
The xb1 and ps4 are limited through the controllers. They have stronger hardware than ps 360 but other than that, there is not really a difference.
But that is not what people want. People don't want "next gen" games. They want more of the same. Why else would cod sell like crazy every year..
And I'm loooving it!
Finally you guys understand how it was to be a pc gamer along side the old 360 or ps3 :) glad those days are soon to be over!
You guys know that n64 emulators exist for pretty much every device (pc to smartphone) that actually render the image in 1080p and produce hd looking graphics?
They are a business company. It's their only goal to make profit. You think money isn't a priority for Sony or Microsoft?
The only thing I didn't like about other m is the same thing I didn't like about the new tomb raider. That wasn't MY Lara and it wasn't MY Samus.
The gameplay was amazing. I just slipped most of the cutscenes and had alot of fun.
Now back on topic, I'm very excited about their next game. More than any other studio atm (on par with monolith). We all know what we will get on ps4 you know. Another great looking uncharted... Maybe another tlou. That...
@chrischi1988: exactly. It all depends on what the devs want to invest into. Modern engines allow scaling and most of them run even on mobile platforms like unreal engine...
The wii u is powerful enough for modern games. The need for speed game was a port from 360 and they made it look like the pc version in 720p.
I'd say all things considered, factoring in that they have different CPU architectures and RAM structure, the wii u can produce about the same graphics...
You forgot action RPGs :)
I think it's more likely that people just buy it for 360. Why spend on a new console if you can play the same game on your current one?
I agree. Sometimes I love fiddling around with my pc to try and get things to work and sometimes I just wanna insert the disc and have fun. It was a nice sense of achievement when I got my 360 controller working on mass effect 2 for example :)
But if I had to chose one gaming system i would always chose the pc. It is most versatile and offers all genres, where action rpgs and RTS games don't really exist on consoles. And adding emulators into the formula it pretty much p...
If they bring the same amount and quality of games on ps4, it is possible.
There is another factor though: the ps2 was a good DVD Player and alot of people just spent a little extra to get a ps2 when they were looking for a DVD Player back in the day. I personally got the ps2 bundle with 3 games. I didn't even finish one of the games but used it for years to watch dvds. (I played the games on my pc with emulation --> 1080p)
Am i the only one around here who thinks posting the rumoured resolution of an upcoming game is not news?
I have to stop my real life for a while...
