Two words: backwards compatibility.
I would have bought a ps4 but I didn't have a ps3. So i went for a used and very cheap ps3. Very happy with it. But no money for Sony. Their loss.

60fps is always the better experience. It's just way smoother. Look for 30 vs 60fps comparison on google...
For me there are certain games that require 60fps, like first person shooters or side scrollers - everything based on reflexes. And other games where it's nice to have but not required. Like slower paced adventure games, strategy games and stuff like that. RPGs.

I will buy the ps4 the same way i did with the ps3. When the ps5 is out, when there are tons of amazing exclusives and when you get it for like nothing on the used marked. Enjoying my ps3 exclusives atm :)

@nextlevel: if you just port the 360 version it's not a lot of work at all. Darksiders 2 took them 1 week to port to wii u. I think if nintendo would approach them and offer some kind of deal it would not be an issue, but nintendo isn't really big on that...
I've played knack today, the first time I saw a ps4 game live in action. And I have to say the improvement over ps3 exclusive titles isn't all that big. Which is to be expected when you look at the hardware of the ps4. The big improvement with next gen (current gen) comes from the huge memory pool compared to last gen. What you can expect are bigger levels and stuff like that. But the processing power of both systems isn't all that great.

Definitely wii u game pad. The functionality the screen offers beats everything the other controllers have.
I generally prefer convex analog sticks so I also like the ds3 but it's kinda small for my hands. But to be honest I can get used to any controller if I play long enough with it. We're humans. We adapt.

That's only logical. With consoles it's always about the games. For what other reason would you buy a console? Microsoft tried to focus on TV with xb1 and look what happened...
If you want to sell consoles you have to have good games. Android consoles for example won't ever get big with the kinda games that are on the platform atm.
