I own pretty much Ever game from ubisoft on wii u. Except just dance.
In other "news": in a few hundred years we could have a holo deck.
I agree but backwards compatibility is a great way to bring in new costumers and make the transition easier.
There is not a lot to play on ps4 atm. But there are plentyof ps3 games around. If the ps4 was bbackwards compatible I would have bought it. Now I just bought a used ps3 for cheap.
The weird thing with ps4 and 1080p for me is that it still looks kinda jaggy IMHO. (Only played knack and killzone). At least compared to my PC with 2-4x AA. It looks good but I feel that good AA clears the image much better than 1080p compared to 720p.
I'm always amazed at how good ps2 and wii titles look in emulator fully scaled and with AA.
That's why the PC is my main platform. There is never a "launch window" and everything is backwards compatible right back to the 90ies.
Consoles are cool on the side but only worth it late in their lifespans when there are lots of exclusives. IMHO.
If you buy a ps3 now it's has a pretty amazing library. But if you bought it 5-7 years ago? Meh..
The only thing I hate about gta5 is that I'm supposed to play endless hours online to get the platinum trophy. I hate it when games do that.
@Abzdiine: you can play RE4 and the remake of the original on the wii u. It's called backwards compatibility :)
Microsoft has fan favorite franchises that they aren't using? Please enlighten me :)
60fps vs 30fps screens. O really? :-D
Do these people even know what fps is?
The amount of useless TLOU remaster news...
... Is too damn high!!
I think it's not possible to milk a franchise any more :D I still enjoy the main assassins creed game. But these extra titles are really unnecessary.
"great ambition" is code for, it's crazy and no one knows what to do with it but at least they tried.
When cut scenes look worse than actual gameplay with ultra and mods..

@drpepperdude: man. Graphic engines are scalable. PC games are optimised for those 1000+ $ rigs, but at the same time they are optimised for low cost PCs with low settings. It's a beauty I know.
Nope, I rather play shitty games in 1080p than amazing ones in 720p.
That is already here. But not on ps4/xb1. Wii U and indy games in general is the place that you will get those experiences. The Sony / MS gaming department are well oiled machines designed to make money money and more money. They always try to appeal to mass market and release only stuff that is already proven to sell to the masses.
You basically can guess what the major releases will be for both consoles... (cod, halo, uncharted, AC, tlou2, fifa/nhl/nba/madden xx, etcetc).
It...
Bullshit. These effects are possible because of PC (not even anything new) and because the ps4/xb1 are very similar to PCs.
True! Never played mine craft so that didn't come to mind ;)
No man sky is probably gonna be the first real open world game :)
I loved ff8. Gonna replay that game one of these days. The cgi was freaking amazing back in the days and I loved the characters especially laguna. And the story is just great. Deep and complex just how I like it :)
