This and Wings were two of my favorite games on the Amiga.
Anyone know if this is exclusive to the 360 or if its also coming to the PS3?
...mentioned the lobby system for this game?
Can you search for local games or by region? or is it a free for all like Battlefield Bad Company?
This game looks fun but a poor lobby will more than likely result in a lag fest for those living in New Zealand.
...Maybe they are right. Maybe I am not going to buy this off PSN.
Or maybe I don't have 2 Sons or maybe its that I don't want all 3 of us playing it.
I wish you could list who hit disagree or make those selecting disagree state why.
...DMC4 and GTAIV to your list. Although both featured HD graphics neither advanced their respective franchise. DMC4 was simply DMC1 with an HD coat of paint and GTAIV's gameplay was more akin to GTAIII and not the brilliant San Adrea's.
...to the good ole days of an O/S where when you installed an App or game everything it needed was installed in the same dir. Sure its more efficient to reuse DLLs but it introduces an unwarranted level of complexity.
Re: gaming, its a pity that OpenGL has lost a lot of its following over the past few years.
...the PSN store. My two sons and I have PSPs so its a cheap way of getting all 3 of us playing!
...can prevent this game from being pirated. Maybe force on-line registration or something. It seems such a pity that it has taken so much time and effort just for a bunch of freeloaders to get it for free.
security patch or something like that. I wish they would fully think things through before releasing any new functionality.
For instance, being able to access things in sub-folders via the XMB is great although it only supports of to two levels deep. Also, when you plug the PSP into the PS3 the PS3 can't see the sub-folders.
I also wish you could copy wirelessly between the PSP/PS3.
...in New Zealand and I agree with you that its great fun. I just wish we had a release date for the full game.
...the PSP control scheme down to the ground. Not big on fighting games but I do wish the PSP had better anti-aliasing.
...that DLC has been released for the game in New Zealand but you can't actually buy the game yet in New Zealand :S
...worth the price and yet the strange thing is with retail something is worth what people will pay.
Look at Levi's, Reebok, etc. All products made on the cheap yet are priced quite high. Its even crazier when you look at a 275ml bottle of Coke. It uses less packaging, features less product but is more expensive than a 1.5L bottle of the same product.
Others probably consider gamers crazy for spending what we do already on games and hardware to feed our habit. <...
Why should you be able to use Vista or Linux, etc as a replacement for the XMB. Just accept some things as they are.
Did you buy your PS3 for the XMB?
...download a theme for goodness sake.
I have the standard PS3 background (the one with the ribbon effect) with Windows 7 Icons. It looks fantastic!
I personally love the XMB, its quick, uncluttered and highly functional. Its not like you spend a lot of time looking at it anyway as its mainly used for booting a game.
...is the Achilles heel of any modern gaming platform, be it hand held or something of a less portable nature. Storage becomes even more important when you consider that both Sony and MS tout their current consoles as media hubs for video, images, music and games. It does not take long to make a sizeable dent into a 200GB HDD nowadays.
MS made a choice to provide a low storage option (i.e. X360 Arcade) to get gamers into HD gaming now they just need a strategy to get those ...
Apple may not have been in the CD market but the IPod and ITunes was one of the biggest instigators to the demise of the CD store.
Retailers have been making commission from selling gaming related product for decades. If consumer buying habits change and that change excludes the retailer from the equation then so be it.
I didn't so I expect Sony to deliver what I want when I want it. Is that not the right of every consumer regardless of the product or service they buy?
I'm interested to know when was the last time someone handed you a sum of money for doing a job and then they didn't mind if you did it or not?
How many retailers sell games for the Apple range of portable products but they still sell the hardware.
...where it clearly states that games being released for PSPGo will also be playable as a download on existing PSP models.
What I have heard is that existing PSP models will continue to be supported, i.e. with UMD released of the game.
Its easy to assume that all downloads will work on all PSP due to the hardware basically being the same, but what if Sony made it so you could only play some games from the internal memory stick.
...was brilliant. I played it to death and loved every minute of it. Dungeon Master II was a day one purchase for me as a result.
When I played the latest Oblivion, the beginning sequence reminded me so much of playing Dungeon Master.
