...is a blast.
The breakneck speeds, the fantastic visuals and techno soundtrack make for one hell of a portable racer experience.
If this is what they could pull off when the PSP was first released then I have high hopes for GT Mobile!
...you experienced real innovation in the FPS genre?
However, the FPS market is becoming ever more crowded and I for one am more excited about COD:MW2 and Bioshock 2.
...Sony, MS and Nintendo would start locking consoles when it has been detected that they have been hacked to play pirate software.
Obviously they need to entice more people to connect to on-line services in order for the detection to take place. It may not prevent piracy entirely but it should help prevent it from being mainstream.
...exploit the whole Blade Runner universe a lot more. Mind you, if they come up with more clunkers like Solider (starring Kurt Russel) then maybe they should just leave well enough alone.
...they would need to introduce some additional settings to give it some variety. The barren LV-426 and Atmosphere reprocessing plant would provide a great start to the game but you would need something for the finale. Maybe they could work out where the derelict space craft picked up its alien cargo and journey to the alien homeworld.
Bladerunner (Final Cut) 10/10
I Am Legend 6.5/10.
Now lets see those settings when filled to the brim with gameplay as well!
...control?
I have not yet played SOCOM on the PSP. Do you miss the second analog?
...Search and Retrieve mode on the ISA Cruiser map.
The spawn point for the radio is right down near the ISA base...but so is the return point. That is, if you're on the Helgast team you only have to walk around 1 corner to return the speaker.
If you're on ISA, you have to take the speaker to the other end of the map.
Although the spawn point for the speaker changes it always appears to spawn really close to where the Helgast team needs to return it. <...
Bullet is a visually stunning but multiplayer inept map. All the map does is promote force a game of advance to push one team back to their primary base and holding them there.
If you enjoy camping around an opposing team's base and spawn killing then this one is for you. However, that sort of on-line play gets old real fast and ruins an otherwise fine multiplayer experience.
...stunners. Especially bullet.
I also notice that the spawn points for the radio during Search and Retrieve change between rounds as well.
Most wanted item for me is a perk to allow for faster reloading. I hate the fact that when you reload you can't speed it up at all. Oh yes, as a better hit model. I hate how a single punch can kill you but shooting someone in the neck with a pistol does not kill!
...the two map pack is priced at $11.50 (NZD). I simply cannot believe they are charging this much for two maps!!!
I'm not sure if I will get them or not now.
...I thought PSP was up to 5.50?
I won't ever hack my PSP. I don't see the point as I don't pirate games.
PJM-PS3 was brilliant, addictive and fun. PJM-PSP makes it portable. What could be better!
Fantastic lobby system, fantastic team play, fantastic everything (apart from those who camp near the enemies base to spawn kill).
I find this game a hell of a lot more challenging on-line that COD4 but no so challenging for it not to be fun like MGO was. Bring on the new maps!
47 points away from getting 10,000!
PJM is a fantastic game and one of the most addictive I've ever played. I hope they bring out a sequel although I'm looking forward to PJM-PSP.
...fighting games like Tekken or Virtua Fighter. I do appreciate when they release games that would work well with the PSP control scheme.
They need to stop making games that need two analog sticks. Look at all the classic games on the Commodore 64, Amiga, Atari, etc, etc, that only needed a single joystick control (if that!). They need to be updated and released on the PSP.
No, what shouldn't be there in the first place is cheaters. Instant banning from Live and PSN should be enforced.
...GT and LBP Portable.
Resistance Retribution had great production values but fell a bit flat in terms of gameplay. It seemed like most of the game you were just walking from one piece of cover to another and shooting enemies once you got there. On-line play was ruined by those who quickly worked out you could camp with a rocket launcher to win a game. Gets old real fast.
The PSP needs friends lists and trophy support like the PS3.
...but I want some quality software to exploit it. After all the singing and dancing over the Playstation Eye (PE) for PS3 I have yet to see anything that really makes me want to dust it off and use it.
Eye of Judgment was ok but that's basically it. I know they are working on new titles that use the PE but its too few and far between.
