...but if Apple came out with an IPod with a sliding screen like the Go then PSP would be dead in the water. Apple has the momentum, Sony is playing catch up. Its like they are repeating their mistakes with the Walkman all over again.
...when Sony, when...
...is not as desirable as the IPod touch which is at a similar price point. I don't think the Go is even as desirable as the PSP-3000 given that it sports a bigger screen.
Sony has got the Go all wrong. It should have been price similar to the PSP-3000, the 3000 should have had a price cut and the downloaded versions of the game should have been much, much cheaper and not more expensive than retail.
...you dont even have a movie download option for the PSP Go as yet.
Biggest mistake was making software more expensive to download than to buy on disc. Already you can pick up games like GT mobile for $15-20 less on UMD than you can from the PS Store.
...that not long after xmas there will be a bigger price drop.
Lets make the Go almost as expensive as the PS3.
Lets make the software more expensive than buying it on UMD.
Sounds like a winning formula!
The Go will fail unless they drop the price of the software and stop selling the PSP-3000 which provides much better value for money.
...bricks any modded consoles or denies on-line play or access to any on-line sevices.
Majority of modders are those who wish to play pirate games and they don't deserve to play on-line with the legit gamers.
Only reason I wouldn't give a perfect 10 is I don't like how the screen moves focus to monsters when they enter the arena. If your on the other side of the screen it often means you disappear from view for a few seconds which is annoying if you're in the middle of building a tower.
I also can't play on-line. I try join a game room and it comes up and says I don't have the latest version. I try the update feature and it says I have the latest version...grrrr.
...I wonder if homeland security in the US will watching who is playing to determine if they are a potential terrorist LOL
US based maps means little to me as COD maps are usually pretty small and its not like you'd be playing across an entire city.
...for me is the most addictive game. My longest game was over 4 hours when I had it on the Amiga 500, it was mentally exhausting!!!!
At the moment I still spend lots of time playing Pixeljunk Monsters.
I wonder where Pac-Man and Space Invaders ended up.
...but would prefer to buy off the PS store as well. But what puts me off is the price difference between retail and what Sony charges on-line.
Also, the range of games on the PS Store is pretty limited in New Zealand at the moment. I would have thought that Sony would have released ALL platinum games as part of a launch line up.
...and am disappointed they did not release more on the PS Store for the release of the PSP Go in New Zealand. Even more disappointed in the price of the games for download. For example, in NZ on-line stores are already selling GT Mobile for $14 less than what you can get it for on-line!?! They also offer exclusive giveaways when you buy it on UMD!
There is no way Sony will keep up with retailers re: pricing so basically, if you have a PSP Go you are being forced to pay more f...
...and I would believe them if Doom 3 actually pushed the FPS genre at all, other than in the graphics department that is.
...obviously all the creative talent left when MS brought the company. Its a shame as Rare were brilliant in the day.
...the choice of Cruise or Daniel Craig. Cruise because the movie would have revolve around his character and Craig because he doesn't look anything like Roy.
I know he's not alive and would have been too old anyway if he was but Lee Van Clief would have made a perfect liquid snake!
...this "mini" sets you back over $10. I'm thinking for $4.95 it might be worth it even if it is a poor mans version of God of War.
Skype has been available on the PSP-2000 and 3000 for ages. Not sure if its on the PSP-1000.
...COD3 had a good multiplayer lobby. Not like the inept one served up with COD4 and by the sounds of it MW2.
...and must admit it does not have the level of "wow" factor I thought it was going to. They had it sitting next to the current PSP-3000 model which still looks pretty slick with its bigger screen.
If it was $100 NZD cheaper I'd buy one. But since the software is more expensive than buying it on UMD I really can't see the point of having one right now.
...will perform well in North America. Sony I reckon will out perform the 360 nearly everywhere else. The Wii however will probably out perform them both but not by as bigger margin in the past.
