...for Sony to detect if a pirate copy of a game was being played on the PSP and block it or even brick the PSP. I don't care if people put homebrew on their PSP but most people only do it to steal games.
I definitely believe that all access to PSN and on-line gaming should be blocked to modded PSPs.
...what you'd expect when you transition from one format to another. Ok, so the games are the same as its still the PSP platform but at least those with earlier PSP models have the choice to either buy UMD or DLC.
I would have thought if you purchased the Go that you'd not be expecting to take your UMDs with you. Sure an exchange program would have been nice but its not life ending by not having one. If you want to keep your UMDs then keep your existing (or buy the original)...
...PSP games on UMD several months ago and selling off my back catalog in anticipating of the PSP Go. Reason is that I prefer playing from the memory card as its much more convenient. Also, I have 3 PSPs in my household so buying one copy and being able to share it on up to 5 PSPs makes much better sense than buying 3 physical copies on UMD.
Although I only have an 8GB memory stick it all works out fine as I use my PS3 slim as a file server for music, videos and games. Basic...
...build the cover into the battery so it could potentially sit flush with the rest of the unit. I saw a documentary years ago where they could fashion batteries into almost any shape, i.e. the case of the cellphone was actually the battery.
...won't be long before MW2 is swamped with under age players. At least you can mute them...unlike in Battlefield 1943.
...clarification on the graphics. When I watch footage of the game on youtube there are times it looks great and other times it looks terrible. Especially the trees and bushes - flat pixelated bitmaps!
I have been in two minds about getting it but I am the kind of gamer that finds sub-standard graphics distracting. I loved Wipeout and Ridge Racer on the PSP. Ignoring the 60fps how do GT:PSP visuals compare to those titles?
...it sells 2.5m easily. Amazed at how many diserving PS3 exlcusive under perform in the sales dept.
I have my copy on pre-order as ND have yet to fail me.
...that the multi platform titles seem to sell better on the PS3 than the exclusives.
...GT5 will look terrific. I just hope that extends to all visual aspects of the game.
...but I have to admit the biggest draw back for me is the lobby system. Yet again no options for local play only. Nearly every game I played in was laggy :(
I hope this changes after the game is released and there are more players on-line in my neck of the woods.
...I hope PS3 owners show there support and buy this game. I hate the way some of the great PS3 exclusives seem to take ages just to sell a couple of million copies!
I have already pre-ordered my copy and I hope to see a couple of million of you on-line soon!!!!
...F3 is great. Celebrate that and stop dumping on what another platform does or doesn't have.
I'm guessing GT5 will excel in some areas of F3 and not others. Either way, owners of both consoles can make up their mind as to which is better next year.
However, I will say that the Forza franchise seems to have evolved faster than that of GT.
I always new there was a lot of room for improvement after playing Forza 2. F3 sets a definite new standard in the Forza franchise!
...PixelJunk games have been pretty good and in some instances brilliant. If they come to the 360 I hope 360 owners show their support and buy them.
PixelJunk Monsters is by far my most favorite game of theirs to date. I'm having a real blast playing it all over again on the PSP!
...but tell me why downloaded content should be more expensive than retail???
Its the exact same game but people who buy it on UMD are paying a hell of a lot less! For example, Gran Turismo PSP at retail is $49 (NZD) where as on PSN its $63 (NZD).
The PSP Go will appeal to those who have to have the latest and greatest. It has zero mass market appeal.
...how?
...but why is Sony forcing Go owners to pay more for software?
Also, in New Zealand the selection of games for the PSP is extremely limited. And again, what is with the prices!!!
...is priced way too high and so is the software. There is no way downloaded games should cost more than retail.
If Sony does not address all aspects of Go pricing then it will fail and rightly so.
...for anyone who purchased the Go in New Zealand as the range of titles available on the PS Store are few indeed. Furthermore, the prices are extremely high for what is available.
If the PSP Go fails then Sony has no one to blame but themselves.
...is another example of those who make a living from reviewing games getting it wrong...and I almost believed them.
GT:PSP is hands down the best portable racing game in history. Its as simple as that.
