I don't care how much you can mod a PS3 its not why the majority of consumers will buy one. Its games and price point that secured the PS2 the top spot during the last round and it will be the same for the winner of this round...which so far is the Wii....
...the Playstation gets graced with another fun looking platformer. The PS has a real track record with getting fun games such as Crash Bandicoot (which sucked by the time it hit Xbox), Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter. LBW looks totally unique and 100% fun (although the fun factor has yet to be fully determined).
Anyway, for the record I own a 360 but its games like LBW that make me umm and ahh about also getting a PS3....but then reality gives me a great whopping kick ...
These images look like PC screens. Don't mind being proven wrong but lets face it, the PC is the primary development platform in this instance and the 360 will get a port.
...being a 360 owner I can say that this video did little...actually nothing to impress. I especially love the pinball physics in the first 15 seconds where the car hits something head on and bounces backwards.
Ok, fanboys will obviously try compare the carnage to that seen in Motorstorm but lets face it, Motorstorm is unqiue at this point in time. Its not that the 360 could not have a Motorstorm its just that it does not have one right now.

Every store I walk to in Wellington (NZ's capital city) stores have PS3s waiting to be purchased so Sony has done well with stock levels!
To be honest, I dont know how much to read into this article as there are no comparative sales figures for other console releases. Of course the PS3 would cause a sales spike given its high price in NZ ($1,199). However, like everywhere else in the world this will not continue unless those with deep pockets decide to buy 2, 3 or 4 more PS3s...

I once owned a PSP. Although the graphics where impressive from a handheld console perspective, most of the games on the PSP...well...suck. There are a small number of standout titles but most are just cut down versions of their older sibling (i.e. the PS2). The PSP is screaming out for more games that are built specifically for the PSP. The DS has superior gameplay as their games are designed for the DS - to expoit all its posiives.
