What was the issue? was it the same problem everytime or 30 (or something) different issues.

What are the actual failure rate numbers globally or by region? I'm sick of all these comments about how bad the 360 is and yet I see no hard evidence that tells me it has a 30% failure rate like some would have you believe.

I hear all the horror stories but sites like these thrive off those. A handful of negative stories and it can be spun out of all proportion and suddenly it sounds like every second 360 owner has had issues. We all know how things work. If things are a...

I would have thought if you opened any of the consoles you'd find Made in China plastered all through them. China's slave labour must be working overtime to keep up with demand!

All we seem to get on this site any more in flameboy crap followed by all the same flameboy responses. Hell, if anyone actually listened to all the flameboys then all the MS supporters would have jumped over to Sony and vice versa.

I have no problem with these type of posts as long as they present the facts in their entirety - not in a way that sparks yet another flameboy war!

- Can anyone see one car being reflected in another? I also noticed a lot of pop-up in the reflections at times.

- Where is the damage modeling? Everyone keeps defending Forza 2 because it has some next gen damage modeling. Where the hell is it????

- The particle effects at the end with the smoke were also lame as smoke does not disappear like it was steam.

- Static weather effects. Again, its just one big pre-rendered environment. No real tim...

...XBL which features a slick, intuitive and clutter free interface aimed at delivering content quickly. And HOME, a slick, 3D interface that requires you to walk around to get what you want.

To be honest, I pick XBL. Ok, it does not look as stunning but to me its just like any other operating system. A tool designed to get you from A to Z which is what I want to achieve in as shorter time as possible. Most of the gimmicky interfaces soon become nothing more than a hindra...

...I am sick of games that focus on eye-candy rather than realism - when its realism that is supposedly one of their biggest selling points. The only reason they have placed spectators in the numbers they have is for eye-candy purposes, not realism.

I would rather have no (animatronic) spectators and have realistic particle effects. Imagine how that blue smoke would look if it swirled and twisted as another car drives through it. As for real-time lighting effects - when was ...

So, the 360 and PS3 can render car models and lighting effects - and so they well should given whats under each of the hoods. However, what I see from this footage is:

- The same old genetically engineered crowd and trees repeated over and over and over (and over). Where do all the spectators park by the way or do they walk for miles to line the side of the road?
- The same animatronic actions, that is, when a car drives by they perform an action and then stop after th...

Was expecting a little more after all the hype around the Cell. I mean, all the ground troops look the same and they seem to move in groups not as individuals. Each group also seems to move in unison - just watch them all step at the same time when backing away from the dragon.

However, the game looks like a lot of fun and the graphics overall do look pretty solid. I don't see anything that the 360 couldn't pull off...

...put all that crap about having to pay for them aside. These maps deliver and they deliver in style. The detail is fantastic and all the maps look glorious on an HD screen. Oh and the weather effects, well lets just say they are the icing on a very sugar enriched cake!

Lets face it, you might as well get in on the action now as Halo 3 is due for release not long after the maps become free and I dare say many will jump to that ship.

I have no buyers remorse over ...

...I dont care what the frame rate is as long as there are no frame rate issues and it looks smooth. If that means 30, 40 or 60 frames per second then I dont care. To be honest, they should stop listing frame rates as a sales point unless its a sustained frame rate at that level for the entire game...not just when things aren't to busy on the screen.

...we see some in-game footage. No doubt the in-game engine was used to render the video but we all know that results in a better than in-game display.

I hope its not the last time Infinity sets its game during WWII...I will miss taking on the Nazis!!!

For the record, I prefer COD2 single and multi-player over COD3. Although COD2 had inferior graphics the gameplay in both modes is superior that that in COD3.

...Blu-Ray will win. However, point 4 could easily be disputed as Sony once claimed that every PSP sold is a UMD player. Look what happened to UMD. Obviously Blu-Ray is a different story.

I also agree that Microsoft dropped the ball by not having an HD-DVD drive in the 360 but not for supporting HD movie playback. Simply because the larger storage capacity would have been beneficial to game developers. In the end however, Microsoft opted for a bigger slice of the gaming pi...

I'm sick of how sensitive discs are. Scratches, dirt, fingerprints, disc-rot can all impact viewing quality. Another annoying thing is that if your discs get stolen or damaged that most insurance companies will pay out a maximum amount which is usually well below replacement value.

There are so many annoying things about current disc formats that I can't wait until we move to complete digital distribution (DiDi) of movies. DiDi may not be perfect but lets face it, there is a...

NG on the PS3 looks fantastic! however, lets not overlook just how good NG on the original Xbox looks - not bad for a game thats 3 or so years old.

Can certainly see room for improvement though. For instance, on the first image look at the buckles on the side of the characters outfit. They are just a flat texture map. However, little quibbles aside, this title looks like it will kick ass and I for one will be lining up to get it for my 360.

I think I'm going to have to get a second job to afford all the killer games coming out...it also looks as though we'll have games to topple that mediocre Gears of War of its perch. ...

...what I'm seeing does not live up to next gen hype thats been shoved down our throats for the past couple of years. I can see next-gen in the car models but nothing else. What I expect to see other than great car models is:
- you crash into a wall, the wall is damaged from the impact and remains that way for the entire race.
- You crash into a wall of tyres that each of the tyres reacts to the impact.
- If you skid on the grass and bring the back wheels onto the track...
