If you were to combine the power of the 360 with the innovation of the Wii then I feel you would have a device capable of delivering a true next-gen experience. The 360 is just a higher spec version of its predecessor able to render and run games in HD. You could almost say the same of the PS3.
...the original Xbox was ugly but hey, once you slotted it in amongst your home theater components its didn't matter a damn. The same goes for the PS3.
Will be interesting to see if they will release a smaller SKU in the future like they did with both the PS1 and PS2.
...releasing games on the PSP that show its weaknesses rather than exploiting its strengths. These screenshots look like the usual murky, low res textures you get in most PSP games. I especially love the generic oval shadows underneath each character. Really completes the feel as though I'm playing a game from 10 years ago.

...handles and plays as good as it looks then I am so adding this to my purchases in the coming months. Giving Forza 2 a miss as apart from the handling I have not seen anything that impresses me about the game.

Motorstorm was always way over rated by PS3 gamers when to me it was just some good fun backed up by some good eye candy. DIRT looks like what Motorstorm could have been - a sexy looking racer with good physics and depth.
A true AAA title should average 90% or above when you consolidate the scores from all the big media sites. Motorstorm sat closer to 80% than it did 90%. AAA title no, A- yes.
Maybe if the PS3 is repackaged into a smaller footprint and sold at a fraction of the current price then certainly, the PS3 will easily be around another 6 or 7 years...but not 10. Technology moves too fast and come 2012 (let alone 2016) the PS3 is going to really start looking anemic to what else is around, especially in the PC gaming arena which, lets be honest, is already back ahead of the PS3 and 360 in terms of visual quality.

I'm a 360 owner and don't really care as I have never been able to get into the fighting genre. I got DOA4 for free when I purchased my 360 and have played it for a total of 10 minutes.
However, it is disappointing, that if the screenshots are from a recent build, to see the 360 looking so, well, crap.

Appears a Game called Lair is being released on the PS3 and will use the motion controller. Oh yes, and it looks like it will feature some great graphics.

To get the achievements. If you could share game saves and not get the achievements you'd see game sharing plummet. Also, Didn't MS recently allow gamers to trade achievement points into rewards? Why would (or should) MS want to continue offering rewards if people are going to get the achievement points without earning them.

I will always stick with consoles for gaming as even though they have their problems, they don't even come close to the headaches you get with PCs.
I have had more trouble with PCs that I have ever, or am likely to have, with console gaming.

They would rather be releasing the game on a much larger install base given the time and expense of releasing games on next-gen platforms. Sure, the game being delayed may mean bigger and better things for the gamer but how much will the delay drive development costs up by?
