Environment graphics were ok (nothing special) but the main character animation was dire! Your character walks and moves as though he has no joints and he has a major wedgie!
I also didn't like the whole you're supposed to be evil but the entire demo felt light hearted.
Definitely a kids game!

There are two things that will keep this from being a AAA title.
1. The slowdown of the graphics. I personally hate frame rate drops and if its noticable enough it will put me off buying the game.
2. The on-line play is crippled. All the 360 owners made point of that fact that Motorstorm on the PS3 had no real on-line when it was released and yet here we have a situation on the 360 where the on-line play is well, for lack of a better word, crap. Simply not a...
...but really, I would have preferred all the content on a single disc. Gears of War 2 will most likely span multiple discs, especially if we want a game that lasts more than 6 or 7 hours.

...looks way better in motion. Some of those images seem washed out or flat. The last picture in particular looks quite average. Again, these still do not do the game justice.
If this game has real depth and is not Star Wars Starfighter but with dragons then the PS3 will have its first AAA title.

My understanding is that Blu-Ray can pack an extra 5GB more onto its media than a triple layer HD-DVD disc. However, from a movie perspective what's actually taking up 45GB let alone 50GB?
The PS3 needs to deliver some of its potential to a level where that potential lives up to the hype surrounding it. Forget the Blu-Ray argument as this comes down to pure number crunching, i.e. what can the PS3 deliver on-screen over and beyond its competition. The difference between the quality of games on the PS3 and its competition needs to be substantial otherwise the PS3 will come third this generation.
I for one do think that the "potential" will be delivered ...

a. Add another couple of targets to aim for 15 an 20 points to win.

If you think the PS3 is the sole saving grace for Blu-Ray (BR) then you're kidding yourself. Of course PS3 owners will buy BR but even if the PS3 had sold 30 million worldwide its still pales in comparison to the number of DVD players sold in the US alone.
BR or HD-DVD (HD) need to reach a mass market before either could claim victory. I can't wait until one does start to show as thats the one I will support. ...

...PSP user purchased UMD movies. The PS3 will not decide the outcome of this one on its own. There are many more stand alone DVD players on the globe than there will ever be gaming consoles so which ever format is first to reach the mass market will probably turn the tide.
Once the market is there thats when you'll also see the big titles released and thats when you'll see studios jump ship and support the current competing format.
...the one who's losing. All the big titles are going to be held back until the consumer base reaches a certain level and both are increasing at a snails pace because of the competing standards. I for one would love to see the Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings all released in HD format but look how long it took the first two to be released on DVD.

As with Singstar this looks like its aimed more at the casual gamer, however that is something that the price of the PS3 is not. If the PS3 was 40% cheaper then this game would be an Xbox 360 killer!

...too many of us simply hit disagree and or place negative feedback for the fact that they don't like the user who made the comment or that the comment made, even if true, does not sit well with them.
TheMarts comments above (2.1) are correct as the PS2 did have problems with their laser and used to scratch discs. He also used to have a hell of a lot more comment bubbles which I see have been vastly reduced.
Quite frankly, fanboys on both sides have ruined this...
...but is this any way to forge a good relationship? EPIC may stay MS' b***h now but if this is not sorted out you can kiss any longterm IP going the way of the PS3.
MS does not need this right now. Install base still has not reached 10 million, Forza 2 is not the AAA title it was hyped to be, Xbox related fire killing a baby, failure rates that don't seem to be being addressed. With all this going on MS should be kissing EPIC's rrs to keep them happy given what they have do...
...but if this is true and Microsoft continue to do nothing about their build quality then do you really think the 360 will reach the 20 million sold mark?
Who wants to buy a games console that actually kills the gamer? It will be that type of word of mouth that will do extreme damage.
Being a 360 owner I'm actually a little concerned and would like to know more about the conditions surrounding this story.
...First off, sick off all the Sony fanboys defending Blu-Ray because they were not given an option as to whether they wanted it or not in their PS3. Just because the PS3 has Blu-Ray included does not mean its going to win - for goodness sake, HD sales of any format still don't even compare with DVD sales.
