Any self respecting PS3 owner (of legal age) should have this on their shopping list.
...PS3 owners who have yet to experience BioShock but I was one of those who played it on the Xbox who was not all that impressed. Sure it was a unique FPS game but as with most FPS games this one was terribly linear. The graphics were great (apart from the lack of main character shadow - which I found a little off putting given the dark nature of the game), the atmosphere was fantastic but after you beat your 3rd or 4th Big Daddy that novelty wears off. You're all too aware that something...
...that from an environmental point of view the manufacturing, shipment, packaging and units themselves are not the most environment friendly things on the planet.
Its easy this generation to pass greenpiece off as a bunch of environmental crackpots but we all need to ensure we play our part so we are never in a position where they can say "we told you so". As consumers we should be demanding that our products are developed in more sustainable ways and use more eco-f...
Once you get past the technical and visual enhancements it offered nothing new. There was no depth or real complexity to the story line it was just a whole lot of missions that were strung together through some average back stories.
When do you start calling the shots in these games? that is, when do you rise to real power and start having to fend of the new kid on the block yourself?
...this constant "my console is better than yours" nonsence?
Each console has their strengths and weaknesses. Pick one (or both) and be heppy with your choice and stop all the digging at those who did not pick the same as you.
Stop comparing this to GT5. Thats like comparing Ace Combat to a Flight Simulator.
Grid is all about arcade racing with arcade physics. Its basically part Project Gotham Racing and part Burnout. However, keep this in mind as its important...its FUN.
Someone else who did not think COD3 was all that bad but thought GTAIV was sh*t.
GTA was boooooring. Same ole missions as previous GTA games. I didn't even finish the game before I sold it on as I got bored.
...so much bad feeling toward COD3 when it was actually an improvement over COD2 in many areas. Its just that it did not actually offer anything new.
At least COD3 featured a better lobby system than COD4. The COD4 lobby system was a pile of crap and IW should have been hung from the rafters for releasing a game thats all about on-line play with such a sh*t lobby system.
If COD5 offers COD4 type gameplay with a great lobby then I'll give it a look see. Even if...
...was average at best. Some nice visuals for an XBLA title but completely forgettable as it quickly becomes nothing but a repetative bore.
...release a PS3 exclusive that looks like any other console could have pulled it off is a wasted opportunity. Exclusives are supposed to make those who own the other console wet their pants with jealousy. All Haze does is make them pat themselves on the back for a choice well made.
I can accept a cross platform game being just ok but exclusives should be a showcase for the hardware they are built to run on.
...30 mins of Saving Private Ryan which was supposed to be an accurate depiction of the D-Day beach landing. I recall a scene where the medic pulled a body up to cover someone he was working on. Was doing that wrong?
Mind you, to be politically correct maybe we should before using someone as a meat shield in GOW2, request authorisation from his relatives as you might when requesting organ donation in real life. Then once you get the ok you can pick him up and shield yourself...
...quite looking forward to this. I enjoyed the two movies and wished they would have returned for a 3rd time however, this looks great. I could almost smell the melting marshmellow.
Loved the innovation with the slime tenticles on the proton pack. The graphics are looking pretty good so lets hope the full game looks as fun as the footage.
...I was not the only one disappointed with GTAIV. Ignoring all the supposed graphical enhancements or weaknesses between the two versions, the improved characters the missions were still same ole, same ole.
The game simply did not draw me in and the multiplayer was just nasty. No real lobby system - you can tell it was the afterthought everyone says it was.
Already sold my copy of GTAIV and COD4. COD4 was brill but I had played it to death. My on-line kill...
...Sony should have done everything it could to have helped this title at least acheive an A status. The PS3 can always do with some killer exclusive franchises so its a shame that Haze is this years Lair (so far).
...Haze is not even providing a distraction as my money is being saved for this masterpiece.
...memories of Lair anyone?
Its a shame that this title is sinking as fast as it is. I know of several people that are now cancelling their pre-orders now that the reviews are rolling in. I never did preorder as to me the game offers nothing really new. I have played BioShock on the 360 where you could use 'drugs' to enhance your abilities. Ok, slightly different use of 'drugs' in Haze but not really anything worth writing home about.
A new FPS franchise not only...
...that this will be a real issue for owners of the Core 360 however, how many Core systems are out there? How successful would the 360 have been without the Core option being available? Remember how the PS3 was going nowhere fast until they brought out the cheaper SKU...
I simply cannot believe MS has not made it easier for Core owners to get the HDD add on. In New Zealand its $189 (NZD) to purchase the 20GB HDD add on. Thats a crazy price given you can only really use 13G...
...lets face it, even if Haze had been an A-grade title it would have had a hard time with GTAIV just being released and the almighty MGS4 just around the corner.
This won't even be a rental for me now.
..."Put the fork down!"
