...I'll bet even if you shoot a gas tank at the start of the game or end of the game it will react the same way. Its just something slightly different. Tell me, do you think all the gas tanks will be full or half full or partially full as I'll bet they all react the same way. Will the enemy intentionally use them to try and take you out? Can you move several gas tanks to set up a trap for the enemy...I'm guessing not as they will provide just another destructible object in the games envir...

...I got bored after about 8 hours of gameplay. Actually, was bored after about 3 but forced myself to play in the hope that things got better...they didn't.

The visuals are not next gen and nor is the gameplay.

...the visuals are not the only highlight of the game as from what I have seen so far it does not look any more advanced than Quake 3 in terms of gameplay. That is, find switch (or level or wheel, etc), pull switch to open door, etc. Sure there is a cover system but the AI looks last gen and so does the action. Why are these damn control rooms not more heavily guarded or booby trapped?!?

There also need to be more minigames for searching fallen comrades or crates for ammo, f...

...around why the maps were not free for console owners. Obviously MS and Sony were cashing in but I wonder how much money went back to IW?

What's most disappointing is that the maps on the console versions will probably never drop in price or become free after a certain period.

...this could all be sorted with a bit more smarts and filtering options. That is, include a few more review options for rating gamers you have played against. Then provide filters that allow you to not be matched up against players with certain ratings.

I for one would like to be able to chose not to play against anyone who is deemed abusive, racist, not older than a certain age, etc.

...for Resistance 2 but I will reserve judgement until the game releases. Resistance FOM was great fun but far to linear. I hope R2 gives you more opportunity to explore and take alternate paths through a level.

I am interested to see how an on-line 60 player game handles as thats a lot more information that has to be sent over the internet to make sure lag is not an issue.

Basically, I find it hard to get hyped up over any game anymore as the last time I did I...

...can we expect to see a price drop for either the game or the map pack????

In New Zealand the 4 extra maps were $5 each. A real rip off since there was only 1 real great map amongst them.

This guy can spit his dummy all he likes but I won't lose any sleep over his decision to move on or sue. I'll bet he's not concerned about the high price of games, rising petrol and food costs. He'll get snapped up by another company and will be sitting pretty again well before ...

Home will be a graphically rich but slower performing gaming O/S. If the internet had an interface like home then it would take forever to do anything. I also don't like the idea of planned object packs you can buy to dress up your Home. Kind of like buying armour for your horse in Oblivion...served no purpose but made your horse look good?!? WTF

Will I download it and give it a try...probably. Will I use it on-going...not sure as I cannot see a real use for it as yet.

1. The constant having to inject yourself for health. F**k me if that would not hurt after the first few times.

2. How much ammo can you carry as the players movements don't seem to be effected by what he's carrying.

3. The invisible beaver community. That is, shoot down a tree and it disappears. Muct be a community of beavers that remove the tree when you're not looking. Be great to be able to shoot down the trees and use them as cover ...

I am most looking forward to PlayTV so I can finally ditch Sky TV and save myself $50 p/m.

Both games will be winners on their respective platforms. If both garner review scores in the low-medium 9's then they will probably contribute to added hardware sales. However, will everyone ditch their PS3 or 360 to buy the other just to play one of these games, I doubt it.

Fanboys will be claiming they have the better console already where as all the real gamers will just be having fun with one or both of these games.

I like the look of home but I just can't seem to get my head around how it will improve gaming for me. However, maybe is doesn't have to as Home does not have to be for everyone. I will check it out once it's released and who knows, maybe I'll get hooked.

My biggest concern I do have for Home is how will it perform in a country like NZ where broadband is still iffy (especially in the evenings when everyone seems to jump on-line) and we d...

Including Blu-Ray will be interesting as will it also mean a change in their policy that games will only run off DVD? If that does change MS will alienate its current 360 install base whilst also t...

...GTAIV offered nothing substantially new in the gameplay department. So you could access the internet in the game - big deal, its not like you had to hack into a security system or look up building schematics. I got bored with the missions as all they did was to get you to travel to different parts of the next-gen liberty city.

Speaking of the new and improved liberty city - I didn't think it looked all that good. Jaggies, framerate drops, everything (apart from cars) was ...
