...Diablo III will be a big release on the PC but after watching the video I was hoping for a more signifcant advance in the visuals. Don't get me wrong they look great but I am still hoping that the environments will feature a more dynamic (i.e. less scripted) damage model and the bodies of fallen enemy stay behind to litter the landscape.
Also after watching the video I don't see any reason why with some stream lining of the interface that it could not be released on 360 and...
...some of the on-line enabled games came with better lobby systems. COD4s lobby is dire and you find yourself joining games more often than not have 1 red bar. This is especially pertinant when you live in this part of the world (i.e. New Zealand).
Warhawk has a good lobby but the game just didn't sit well with me. Was kind of ok but its off putting when the experienced players sit there and spawn kill. As for MGO it just doesn't appeal to a mass audience and it is especia...
...I can share your point of view however....oops, sorry, I need to insert disc 2 to finish my statement :)
Installs are great for reducing load times during gameplay or setting up common files for games than span multiple discs. Ask PC owners if they would prefer to have no game installs because I see no difference between a PS3 and PC in that respect.
However, what I would like to see is that gamers are given the option as to whether or not they want to instal...
....I needed to download and reinstall the game and the solo HD add-on. However, now I need to wait for them to release the latest 4.00 patch again.
This is the sort of thing that made me give up on PC gaming...grrr.
...it says Demo Version for all by my PSN account now. I have sub-accounts for my kids and a US account for my wife. Only my account can play the game as the full game.
I guess I need to follow up with Sony.
...as in what part of the world. I'm in New Zealand not that should make any difference.
This is highly annoying.
TO all those who play Super Stardust HD. Once you download the 4.00 patch for for trophy support I have found that any other accounts on my PS3 see the game as a demo. That is, my kids who use to be able to log into their accounts on my PS3 and rack up their own SS-HD high-scores are no longer able to. They now have to buy a copy of the game themselves.
Has anyone else experienced this?
...is that people continue to come out in droves to defend Blizzard saying that Fallout 3 will fail and Diablo 3 will previal and yet neither game has been released.
How many games have come out in the last 12 months that have failed? You'd think some people would learn to just hold their opinion until they have something real to base it on.
There have been few to games this gen that have actually impressed me as they are nothing but more polished versions of pr...
...I didn't find MGO fun, there is no crime in that.
...the 360 has Too Human. I dare say neither of those games will be the last time a console has a bomb.
...why they are selling it as a stand alone purhcase. Is that admitting that MGS4 is worth a rental only or what?!?
Anyway, I loved MGS4 but MGO felt incomplete and for me it lacked a real important ingredient...fun.
...Buzz controllers are what make it for me. Having kids you soon find out just how cumbersome wired buzz controllers are.
...was terrible. There were only two good maps out of the four and even then I was not a major fan of Broadcast. Killhouse is as bad as shipment and is nothing but fodder for spawn killing.
I really wish on-line games would combat spawn killing - maybe make a players guns jam for 10-15 seconds if he/she spawn kills.
... but whats your thoughts on the visuals? They don't blow me away as much as I was hoping for.
As the demo for me was a major lag fest. The demo lobby was 2nd rate and from what I hear there is little improvement in the retail version of B:BC.
If you can't pick which game you wish to join based on your connection to the host then I'm not interested. Its the main reason I gave up on playing COD4 on-line.
...Region 4 New Zealand and Australia miss out. It happened with Xbox Live Video Marketplace and it seems set to be the same with PSN Video Marketplace.
Really sux.
...why people are so anti the WWII setting. If a game is fun, done well and improves on its predecessor (in this case COD3) then it can only be a good thing.
...but Gears of War is still the most visually impressive and brutal games on any console to date. It's such an in your face experience that is still second to none.
The PS3 has yet to be graced with such a game and the only thing I can think of that looks to be coming close would be Killzone 2, even though its a FPS.
Heck, if you're gonna hit disagree then please state why. Which game on the PS3 do you think matches Gears of War in terms of tone and brutality?...
...Was a sterile experience unerpinned by stunning visuals. Kind of like the Matrix 3 movie.
...to feature a better hit model than the one that has been used. That is, rather than making the headshot lethal and just about everywhere else needing an entire clip to take someone out. They should have used a hit model where you could shoot someone in the leg to slow them down, or in the arm to get them switch to the other arm for aiming, carrying the weapon, etc.
That would be fantastic to be able to wound your enemy and watch him try drag himself out of harms way as you...
