I didn't vote one way or another, but I think the reason you're getting downvotes is because Sessler is considered by many to be a hardcore MS fanboy, which kind of makes his word shit. Especially when paired with the fact that (as mentioned in 9.2) the demo shown was on rails.

It's the only reason I didn't vote up, as it does sound like a legit and honest contribution to the discussion. Thank god I'm not a judge, it doesn't take much to convince me ha...

As opposed to you, who evidently is always cheerful, and who never complains.

It's a site where people comment on game news. Sometimes the news sucks. If you can't wrap your head around the concept then I suggest you refrain from reading the comments.

I should also point out:

Whatever. This is probably the biggest disappointment of this console generation for me. FFXIV is close behind, but that has a chance of shaping up before it makes it PS3-side at least.

I'm glad someone said it. Is a train not on rails because it can choose which tunnel it moves through? On rails means you don't have freedom of movement. That's what this is.

*edit
Also, the fact that he needed that board signed comes off as really pathetic. "Right guys, it isn't on rails? Tell them it isn't on rails! I'm not lying, it's not on rails!!"

Memories are short, people. Nintendo's stubborn insistence to go against the grain is the reason N64 lost them the dominating position in home consoles, leaving their fans with few games available, often at exorbitant prices. They have never been able to win back 3rd party support since then, ensuring that 7/10 good games that you see on their system will be the first party titles, and that for every good game they have the competition has 10. I LOVE me my Zelda, but I can't live on t...

Um... I counted 3 things in the article. A console name will never blow anyone's mind.

Having said that, the 3 reasons are pretty damned weak, especially when backed up with endorsements like:

"In this game, you start by selecting a class and customizing your weapon using the touch pad, which sounds really lame and not revolutionary, but for some reason it just makes everything ten times nicer and much more intuitive."

You'r...

@Fishy Fingers
I don't think it's that people only mind when it's a game they like, it's that they're only going to be reading about things they like, so naturally any site they complain about is going to happen to annoy them with an article relevant to something they like. Even if so though, the fact that people speak up selectively doesn't mean that their concerns somehow aren't justified or valid now.

I'm only recently getting acqua...

You're ignoring several key features of this that are consistent with their articles. No, it isn't cool to call anything you don't agree with flamebait, but trust me, this is the real deal. This site is notorious for baiting.

It's amazing how often I see a retarded article on here and look at the title to find that its source is Sarcasticgamer.

The impression I get is that of a bunch of aspiring writers who are too lazy, bland, or unskilled (or some combination of one or more of those), to actually create things of substance, so they take a non-topic, put a title on it that will get people going "huh?" (something inflammatory, or just wildly opposite of popular opinion), and then pro...

Very well said though, and absolutely true.

I did enjoy the model displayed, and there is some truth to it, but it shouldn't be forgotten that their gambles in the past not only didn't pay off, but lost them the superior ground in the home console arena. Their insistence on remaining with the cartridge format gave the freshman Playstation the opportunity to snag a ton of third part support, and in turn the wide lead in console & software sales. That gap widened drastically in the following generation, which is part of the r...

Haha full mask too, no doubt. It really is kind of sad, reading all the public stuff they release. They do what they do under the pretense of fighting for a just cause, and I think most of them have convinced themselves that that is the case. Beneath all that though, these are people living out a fantasy of sorts, where they wield considerable power, and do so from the shadows. Every time I read one of these statements from them I'm just picturing the smug satisfaction that must overtake ...

Not only weak physically, but severely emotionally underdeveloped. A year in the clink for them will be a learning experience like no other, and, as you said, very very humbling. It does sound a little short for people whose actions basically amount to international terrorism, albeit of a non-violent sort, but hopefully it'll do it's job and rehabilitate these people, and teach them that the world doesn't end and begin at their keyboards.

If you slice off one head of Hydra, ten more heads will grow in its place. If you cut down one Anon, ten more will join us purely out of anger at your trampling of dissent."

Jesus, which 13 year old writes their public statements? Why does everything they release try sound like it was written on the lost ark or something? These guys are s...

MS should be bundling this device or a similar one with every Kinect. It seems very cheap to make, and opens the market up to many more people who would have liked to buy one, but didn't think they had the space to operate one.
