You know, it's always pissed me off when people prattle on about "spoilers" in video games.

First, you chose to watch the video or what have you. Yes, sometimes there are warnings, but often they're not. Learn to live with it.

Second, games range from 10 to 30 hours, or more, long. How in the hell does a clip lasting a minute or two "spoil" such an experience? You have no context, no real idea who the characters are and why they are where they ar...

Holy sh!t, this game looks incredible. Absolutely incredible.

What more is there to say?

I hit the Macleod Trail TRU here in Calgary and while a lot of the brand new titles had been picked over, I managed to snag Resistance 2, WaW and PoP for $120, including tax. That's $39 a game.

I just bought Gears of War 2 from Amazon Canada for $42 tax and shipping included (game was on sale for $49.99, to which I applied a $10 off coupon and shipping was free).

So, sometimes they do have deals.

If you are Canadian and want the scoop on the best video game deals you need to hit Red Flag Deals.

Well, Sony/Media Molecule might actually move a few more units if they actually did some advertising for the title. I think I've seen one ad in the last month for LBP versus dozens for Gears of War 2.

From what I saw of the demo I thought the game looked pretty good. The graphics are much improved and the platforming elements are certainly sound, but the combat seemed weak and the camera was annoying at times. Still, I am sucker for action/adventure puzzle games and I loved Anniversary so I will definitely pick this game up, although I will probably wait until the price drops to $39 or $29 (likely sometime in February).

Once again you need to READ the freaking article, which explains that NXE is coming to Canada but that Netflix streaming will not be available (no surprise considering that Netflix does not do business in Canada).

Sheesh...

Some things are better, like game-specific downloads and the interface speed. And some things are worse, such as the size of the in-game Dashboard and the overall cluttered feel to the interface.

I wish people would take the 30 seconds that are needed to read the article.

The ONLY difference with the NXE update for Canada is that we do not have access to Netflix movies. That's it. Everything else is there; the new interface, avatars, features, etc.

Not that I am surprised this is case as Netflix does not operate in Canada.

And yes, the title is completely misleading.

I came here to make the same point. Sony's advertising is just about non-existent, at least, from what I've seen (or rather, not seen). The ads they have done, of late, are actually pretty well done.

...was another waste of my time.

Seriously, in anticipation of the update they suggest blowing out the fans on your 360? The sh!t that passes for journalism these days...

@PS3n360

Yes, buy good cables, but not $150 cables. $20 (at MOST) should pretty much cover it. Would you buy a $150 USB cable for your digital camera? Of course not.

No, Coheno, it has nothing to do with RROD and overheating. How much heat does a DVD drive radiate? Not a hell of a lot, if any. It has nothing to do with heat dissipation and everything to do with reducing loading times.

That's it.

I suggested that the DSi had little to do with introducing its slim set of new features and everything to do with locking out flash cards back when the DSi was first announced.

I am not at all surprised.

Just say no to Steam. Go out and buy the game.

This "article" just wasted one minute of my life.

Great graphics, bizarre and cheesy storyline, impenetrable controls, ridiculously, absurdly long cut scenes, and a level of interactivity that is essentially on par with that of my DVD remote all add up to one overhyped game.

I also concur with those that hold Halo 3 up as another example. Good, but not overly so graphics, absent storyline (shocking for a Halo title, I know), but good gameplay mechanics and all around fun. Still, on the whole the game was ridiculously overhyped....

Honestly, are these "announcements" ever that exciting?

Please get your terminology straight. The song is NOT banned, as in restricted by the government. The song in question was removed from LBP at the behest of Sony because some Muslims believe that it is sacrilegious to sing passages from the Koran (or Qur'an as some would spell it). This was completely Sony's call and not the actions of any government, although it was likely done to stave off any potential action by government authorities in Muslim countries where the game would be available. ...

Firmware 5.0 for some reason broke the TV out function for PSP games on my PSP 2000. Instead of seeing the game screen on my HDTV with the HDTV cable as I did before the update, I see a black screen (yes, I am using the progressive cable on a progressive capable HDTV). Disconnecting and reconnecting the cable and futzing with the settings had no effect.

This is pissing me right off because I can watch videos and see the XMB interface screen, so I don't understand what in the hell...
