The release date was recently pushed back to June 12th. Not much later, but a few weeks none the less.
New single player content? Sounds cool. But it won't be free.
This is ridiculous.
It appears that development of "Staff of Kings" was put on the back burner so that LucasArts could focus on "Fracture" -- a game which ultimately proved to be a dud. Not only did they focus on the wrong project, but LucasArts made it a complete fumble when they could not release the game concurrently with the Indiana Jones movie and all of the attendant hype.
What a stupid series of business decisions.
I predict that the first thing to go on the PS4 will be PS3 backwards compatibility.
But I won't start to worry until Sony confirms this rumor.
All of the nudity in the game is getting an across-the-board upgrade with more realistic flesh tones.
Reading through this thread a lot of people have commented on the supposedly high cost of shipping. What no one seems to have realized is that just about every consumer good available in the United States is made overseas. If shipping is such a huge expense, then why is the cost of goods so much lower in the United States than countries that are effectively closer to the point of manufacture?
The fact is that while shipping is certainly material to the cost of a good, it is not o...
No exaggeration. I have no idea why it took that long, but it did. Perhaps the servers were overloaded.
Curiously, I had no iasues downloading the Wipeout demo a short time later.
???
Why on earth was the 1.08 update 62 MB large? It was nearly an hour of my time to download and install.
I hope the next update is far more reasonable.
My opinion of how the games will break down:
Wii version:
Great, maybe even fantastic Graphics.
Clunky, tiring motion controls.
PSP version:
Good, perhaps great graphics.
Good controls but camera issues, as always.
DS version:
Fair graphics.
Bizarre touch based controls that make no sense whatsoever and frustrate you so much you stop playing altogether.
This game needs a 360/PS3 version, which I expect wil...
The Helghast are telemarketers that left Earth at the end of the bloody Telemarketing War of 2054.
What a f*cking waste of my time.
Honestly...
Nice summary, PirateThom. Nathan is someone we call all identify with, more or less.
You read my mind.
Who? Microsoft.
What? Er, a map pack (so informative).
Why? Who knows.
When? Midnight.
Where? On Live.
Overall? Fail.
The article mentions that the grenade tossing methodology has been simplified and more akin to the mechanic used in most games, such as Call of Duty, where you simply aim your reticule and toss. Thank god. I always hated the grenade controls in Uncharted.
The balance mechanic that employed use of the tilt control has also been removed. A small but worthwhile improvement.
I got the impression that Drake and Sully were more than just friends...
If anyone bothered to read the article you'd know that it is problematic to turn off the tutorial messages because without them you won't be prompted to heal on the fertile grounds, meaning you have to guess.
Thank you for pointing this out. Older versions of the 360 had problems with their DVD drives scratching discs during NORMAL USE because the drive manufacturer omitted the lens pads that every other optical drive on the planet employs to protect discs from scratches of this type.
I downloaded the demo of BK and just could not get into the game. The "story", for what it is, is pointless, the construction elements are bland, and the game play overall failed to capture my imagination.
I hate zombie games, so Left 4 Dead is out. I already have WaW, Resistance 2, LBP, Gears 2, and PoP, and I just finished TRU last weekend -- all of which I would highly recommend. None of the remaining games on that list hold much interest except perhaps Mirror's Edge...
@Eiffel
Where have you heard that? The last thing I read was that Staff of Kings would not appear on the PS3/360 because of spiraling development costs.
