The next iteration of N4G should get rid of this "agree", "disagree" nonsense, or at the very least list those users that disagreed with you. It's like Karma on other boards where it just becomes a giant wankfest.
We've got the bubble system; that's enough.
The situation in Canada is even more grim for those that want to receive HDTV signals in that unless you live close to the border and install a roof top antenna (to pick up over-the-air American HD broadcasts) or are willing to subscribe to digital satellite or cable, you are SOL. Broadcasters in Canada will start broadcasting HDTV over-the-air in select markets starting this summer, but I am not holding my breath.
Steer.
In other words, maneuvers than could otherwise be mapped to a button on the Classic or Gamecube controller, won't. While I am happy that Nintendo is including support for the traditional control scheme to begin with, this is lame.
I agree, it looks no better at all than the 360/PS3 version. There are jaggies in the same places and the textures look very much the same. The real difference between the console and PC versions will be in the gameplay; additional investigation modes and other improvements are a welcome addition.
Perhaps it would be advisable for the game studios to enquire with the British government before they relocate if they plan on continuing their campaign against video games. Yes, there are already "certificates" for certain age groups, but the government is pushing ahead with further restrictions on games and the recently announced "review" on video games is just the start of what is going to be an on-going campaign against video games in general.
No permission is required. Film crews, and the public in general, have an unequivocal First Amendment right to film any public place, within reason. Courts have ruled on numerous occasions that there is no expectation of privacy in a public place. This is the bread and butter of news organizations and magazines like The Enquirer, People, Star and others. The law is on the side of the film crew, in this case.
One notable exception, however, is commercial use of your likeness. Some...
$729.90 for a slightly lighter black? No thanks.
Yes, I completely agree that it looks boring. That said, I have to echo the comments of those above that say if you don't like the game, don't buy it. There are plenty of other racing games in the PS2/PS3 library that should meet your fancy.
I don't recall the specific interview, but I recall that Nintendo admitted that a major reason for the shortfall in supply is that they do not want to invest any more money into manufacturing than they already have. Nintendo is more afraid of oversupply than undersupply, a painful lesson they feel they learned from their experience with the Gamecube. A lesson that is readily attested to given the fact that retailers continue to have stockpiles of unsold Gamecubes in their inventories.
Then which company's patent are third party controllers violating?
I had a suspicion that copy protection was responsible for the problems with SSBB and not "dirty lenses" or whatever the bull excuse Nintendo trotted out.
I would like to know which particular Microsoft business decision prompted this rather hyperbolic headline. If they are referring to the recent price cuts in Europe, stretching would be putting it mildly. Cutting the price in one area of their world wide market so that it is a bit less of an ass raping is not going for the throat. Especially when the European market and customers are so badly under-served and disrespected with perennially late/missing releases and comparative price gouging.
Zero. Nothing. Nada. Not a one. That is the number of "must haves" on the list.
Seriously, the "Gamercize Pro-sport" device that looks like a foot operated bicycle pump? Get real.
I love when a comment has disagrees but no replies. It's one of the quirks of the bizarre moderation system on this board. Get some balls people and back up your opinions.
This game even looks good on an HDTV. Curiously, when I played the demo from my Memory Stick I experienced all sorts of odd slow downs and glitches that are not present on the full UMD game. So far I have not had one noticeable slowdown or game ending glitch.
I don't know where Surfer Girl got her information, perhaps the original plan was to port the game to the PS2, but I am glad I bought this game for my PSP. The demo was good, but glitched a lot (I played the game off of the memory card). The full game has none of these problems.
I would love if Microsoft incorporated a Blu-ray drive into the 360, but not for HD movies or games, just to replace the farking cheap pieces of sh!t they call a DVD drive in the 360.
I can't wait for your review of Chains of Olympus. How soon?
I won't even do that. I will stop in at one of the dozen stores along my route home that will carry the game, walk in and buy the game. I have yet to be disappointed with this incredible strategy and pre-ordering is a waste of time.
