The reality is that most gamers agree with you. If game journalist aren't respected by those who are most invested into gaming than they have no true credibility.
I may like certain personalities, but the fact that my opinion or the opinion of any other gamer is just as valid as a "game journalist" is exactly why they have no credibility. I have opinions on World news, but I would never think for a second that my opinion was as valid as a journalist that works f...
Good luck to her with the documentary. But I hope this turns into something real and more than just a propaganda push. It's great that she is presented the problem, but I hope she presents some solutions as well.
Of course the non-gaming public will be interested. If you haven't noticed the media is constantly trying to demonize people who play games.
The situation does deserve attention. But people should be very careful where they invest their money. The thing is, at the end of the day how does this help solve the problem?
If you aren't lying to yourself than you know how much harassment women receive on xbox live, etc. So if we know the problem, the real question becomes how do we fix the problem. If this documentary goes into that than okay good, otherwise it is just a waste of time that is going to bring people do...
You know what, maybe you are right but it would have been fun. Also, since none of us where alive back than we can't say that with any certainty. It's not like all of a sudden one day Native Americans just decided that today they are going to start scalping people. I get what you are saying and obviously that's why they didn't do it.
Fun should never be sacrificed for sensitivity. Harpooning whales is really damn offensive to a lot of people, yet they error on...
Awesome, I am glad to see they are going to make a fun game and not one that is overly sensitive to stupid issues. AC3 could have been so much fun if you had the option to run around scalping people. Instead, they made AC3 into a game that was way to culturally sensitive and the game suffered greatly for it.
Looks interesting.
Yep this is a really fun game. It's simple but fun.
Considering it wouldn't sell 2 copies if it wasn't being published by Nintendo, since no one else wanted to publish it, I think we all should be happy that the game will be made at all.
Gaming Journalists or critics, on a whole, aren't trusted or respected by the people who play games the most. Whereas movie critics opinions are taken seriously by people who are deeply into movies. Which is why no current gaming journalist or critic is on or near the level of Roger Ebert.
In no way is Adam Sessler the Roger Ebert of gaming. Love or hate Roger Ebert he was a highly respected and credible person beyond just Movie entertainment. Adam is a personality that is liked, that doesn't put him on Ebert's level.
Right it's about immersion and that means you are either on board or you miss out on stuff. It's a shame that people miss out, but maybe when the show starts airing re-runs, if hopefully the show gets a new season, then that content can comeback.
By doing it this way, they actually make the show content feel special. Only time will tell if they continue to do a good job of it.
I actually liked it and I don't watch tv normally.
I get where you are coming from, but a post apocalyptic New York could be really cool and the other games weren't set in New York. So yeah, I get what you are saying but this could be really cool.
Violence and sex, gotta love it. Good to see a game not take itself to seriously.
I really hope that is the case and I wasn't sad at all to see Wada get fired or whatever the case maybe. My friend was a huge FF fan and he was in his 50s. Sadly he past away like a year ago and he was really looking forward to playing Versus and KH3.
Honestly, there is no reason that KH3 or Versus, if not both, could not have been released by now. Wada has clearly lead Square Enix down the wrong path and I am glad to see him get canned.
The can reveal the next xbox tomorrow, if it has always online than they can keep it. Everyone else can feel free to spend their money wherever they want to, but I will not be buying an always online console.
The budgets increasing is the scary part. Look at Tomb Raider, the game sold over 3 million copies and yet they are saying it isn't profitable. That's mind blowing and it means lesser triple A developers are going to be willing to take risks on major new IPs. When they do take those risks, it is just going to be the same stuff with a new skin.
Watchdogs looks amazing, but it is essentially GTA with integrated multiplayer. Obviously that is an over simplification, but ...
Please Bioware, just say nothing and make DA3 great.
I guess all the teasers are in good fun, but seriously just reveal the project that will undoubtedly be bug ridden and best on PC because modders will fix the crap that Bethesda will never do.
