This may be the future, but I refuse to be one of the people that help make this future a reality. This isn't about a console anymore, it's about gaming. I really hope enough gamers stand together in the final days of gaming as we know it, to at least make a small impact.
I am really proud of everyone so far. Most gamers see the bigger picture of what Microsoft is trying to do and is reeling against it. In the end, I doubt we will be able to stop what is coming. But s...
Make no doubt about it, this console will be hacked. One reason will be to remove DRM and the other reason will be to constantly bring down the network. Microsoft has painted a huge target on themselves.
This move on Microsoft part has put us in a situation where we now have to decide if we are okay with supporting a console that ultimately kills consumer rights. I am not for that, so I am not buying one. Vote with your wallet and all that. I think that this is the future, but I refuse to be one of the people that helped create this bleak future.
The last thing I want is gamers 40 or 50 years from now to be asking themselves why they have to put up with so much bullshit and k...
Sucks about the check in once every 24 hour thing, but my concerns have been addressed in regard to the Kinect. I just wanted the ability to completely turn it off and they are allowing me to do that now. So umm, I am looking forward to seeing the games now.
If I could just completely turn off the Kinect, then I wouldn't have a problem with it. This insistence that you have to use Kinect and it has to be always listening to you just kills the Xbox One for me. It's a shame too because while I dislike the Kinect I do recognize the potential it offers, especially being a mandatory part of the Xbox One.
I never really thought about that before. True the Kinect does track your hands, but it really is geared towards full body movement. Wow that really never occurred to me until now that the Kinect is excluding a lot of people. Thats really messed up.
Polygon is a joke of a website anyways. It's full of a bunch of pretentious people that care more about what is written in a review than how fun a game actually is when you play it.
Looks amazing, really impressive work.
It means they are getting rid of the Basic bundle but don't want to call it that. But yeah it is pretty funny that they just wont admit it. The whole idea of multiple skews is just a bad one anyways. Either sell one skew and make people pay more or sell two skews with one being at a significantly reduced price point.
I think this proves more that because their game didn't have a lot of mainstream press it got away with this. If a game like GTA5 comes out with similar topics, even toned down a little, it will get crucified. Just because the mainstream press will make a bigger deal out of it then it really is.
Either way, I love Metro Last Light.
It's called being an informed consumer. Most of us on this site are not the ignorant masses that don't know what we are talking about. We spend a great deal of time, playing games and reading actual informative material on games and technology in general. Some people are obviously delusional here, but even those few make informed statements.
The problem is that you and the people at these companies don't get how informed the people they are marketing to early on r...
Exactly, some of these developers need to spend less time kissing MS ass and more time making great games for people to play and being honest with their consumers.
It really is disgusting to see all of these developers, publishers, and major companies treating their consumers, particular early adopters, like they are stupid. Seriously, who does this guy think he is talking too. No one who isn't a fanboy will believe this stupidity and a fanboy doesn't need to be convi...
It would be nice if this claim was coming from someone that had actual journalistic credibility. But hey he is an enjoyable personality to watch, I guess.
Love me some Warframe, it kind of runs a little slow on my laptop so this is a big deal for me.
Oh I agree, technically the Xbox One is impressive, but the problem people are having with the console has nothing to do with technical specs. This really is an example of a poorly managed PR situation on MS part.
Thing is, gamers are the early adopters of the new consoles, so you have to gear new technology towards that crowd first. Microsoft made a lot of unpopular decision, but had they presented the exact same stuff and came off being less arrogant and smug about the whole situation gamers would have been a lot less upset.
For example, had they shown all the same stuff but had displayed that technology working in conjunction or around games that would have helped them greatly. No o...
Just let me completely turn off the Kinect and I will consider buying an Xbox One. The Kinect deal is a major deal breaker for me.
Dude you are completely wrong, people would buy 2 ps4s to play this game at this point.
lol burn
Hopefully Gamefly will be fine. There are a lot of really savvy people that run Gamefly so I am hopeful that they will still be around.
