The thing is, Nintendo is playing it safe right now. They showed a bunch of stuff that core Nintendo and families want to play and some of those titles are coming out this year. Obviously, a price drop is coming very soon. I can see them hold off until next year when they have a bunch of compelling titles or until around August when Pikimin 3 drops.
I wanted Nintendo to blow me away, but the E3 Nintendo Direct told me I will definitely be buying a WiiU in 2014. I hoped it wou...
Whoever thought this was a good idea needs to be fired.
I wanted to play this game but might current PC can't handle it, so I am looking forward to this on the PS4.
The 360 was and still remains an amazing and yes "mighty" platform. Microsoft built a lot of trust with the 360, but they have quickly lost it all. It can be regained. If Microsoft would just ease off on these draconian policies they would get a lot of people back. Most of us want to be excited for games on the Xbox One, but I am not will to sell gaming as a whole down the drain to play a couple of Xbox One games.
Very entertaining.
Oh look a comment from someone who joined the site 1 hour ago.
This is not the place for you to complain about troops that protect lazy slops like yourself and give you the freedom to sit in your dad's basement and type this message. Show some respect for men and women that deserve it.
If Microsoft teaches us anything, even if you have low expectations you can still get disappointed.
I bet they can't wait to get those second hand games that have the best content cut out of it. Nothing like a port of a port.
For a company to continue down this path that no one wants is just foolish. Whatever, I am getting a PS4, everyone else can do as they like.
The way they where pushing the iPad tablet at E3 it's clear that they see that as a viable game market. I understand the dislike of the comparison but it is valid. Deus Ex: Downfall looked impressive too and that is an iPad game.
On another note, you could buy Tomb Raider for $45 on PC new before the launch and the price quickly dropped on PC. Also, you could get Bioshock Infinite with three other games for free just for buying it. And Sim City, was $27 on one of the Orig...
PS+ is amazing and offers a great amount of value, I have no problem with paying for it. Of course, I already pay for PS+ but I have never felt cheated.
$60 is already too much to pay when you look at the quality of free to play games and iPad games that are free to $10. I will pay the $60, but I hardly think that price is fair, especially considering all the dlc in games.
Exactly. Microsoft wants to say there is no difference between digital and physical media and digital is the future. Well if you look at other digital distribution services like Steam you can get Retail games at greatly discounted prices upon and before release.
Also, the price of games drops a lot faster on Steam. Microsoft goes on and on about digital, but they aren't willing to reduce the price of games and they act like they are doing us a favor by keeping games at $6...
It's ironic because after this generation renting games will be dead on the other platforms and I will be moving to PC gaming, but I will probably still get the next Nintendo console. If you think about their consoles as just a Nintendo platform you can't really be disappointed. It's kind of messed up to think that way, but well it's not like I can get Zelda, Mario, etc on any other platform.
Really is messed up what Microsoft is pulling and it offers no true benefit. They are just treating people like thieves for no reason at all. This curves zero piracy. People who pirate games on the 360 modify their console hardware internally and then play offline. This isn't going to change with the Xbox One and the people who are pirating are not poor. It is costly to get a modded 360. The online requirement does nothing but alienate a lot of honest paying people.

Something isn't inherently sexist just because you show a woman stripping. If you think that is true than you have no idea what sexism really is all about, this remains true even if you are a woman.
Showing women in sexual clothing or performing sexual acts doesn't equate to sexism. Saying or implying that a woman's only place in life is to be one type of thing, be it a soccer mom, stripper, teacher, or even only a counselor is sexist. The reason is simple, it'...
I love that they are taking one scene out of an entire game and trying to ask if that one scene out of the entire game is art. Is every movie art? No. Is every piece of music art? No. Is every painting made art? No. Is every book written art? No.
So what do you think they are trying to prove by taking one scene out of one game and asking if it is art? Some people will say this is art. Are they wrong? No. What is or isn't art is ultimately left up to each individual person...
RE6 had like 300 people making that game and it sucked. The best indie games have like 5 people working on them and they are amazing.
Miyamoto's point is that it takes highly talented people with great vision and understanding to make a great game. Being a great programmer doesn't make you a great game developer. It takes time to cultivate people who understand what it takes to make a great game. You can't just throw hundreds of people at a problem and think you w...
Remedy is a great studio and I hope that they are successful. I just don't know if the audience buying the Xbox One is going to be all that interested in what Remedy is offering.
Microsoft is banking fairly heavily on that CoD audience and while that may move consoles, I am not sure how interested this audience is in games like what Remedy is making. All the same, I hope they are successful.
