People don't like paying to play online in Microsoft case because you get nothing real in return. Microsoft holds the online portion of their console hostage and gives you nothing for paying the online fee. Sony is giving you a PS4 game day 1, so yeah it's worth it.
Sony destroyed Microsoft. This move on their part is going to force Microsoft to back peddle on these horrific decisions of theirs and treat their consumers like customers as oppose to thieves. For the first time, I am genuinely excited for the next-generation of games.
Sony Forever. After this I will always be a fan of Sony. The truth is that the days of used games are coming to an end fast, but for one more generation gaming will stay the same.
Microsoft is done. Anyone who wants an Xbox One can enjoy being treated like a thief by Microsoft and I will enjoy being treated like a customer by Sony.
$499 is way too much for what they showed.
I honestly feel bad for Microsoft on this one. This game looks bad and whatever they paid to make it an exclusive was way too much.

It doesn't matter to me what Microsoft does doing E3. I am not going to support them no matter what. I know I am just one voice and even if we all band together it probably still wouldn't matter. But I am going to vote with my dollars and say no.

This is much worse than Steam. If Microsoft actually tried to be Steam a lot more people would support their current move.
The difference between Steam and what Microsoft is doing is that one you can go offline on Steam, two the games being sold on Steam, even the AAA ones, have major sales that put them way below the $60 price point, and finally Gabe Newell has said that if Steam ever went under for whatever reason he would remove all the DRM off the games so people could burn copies of their games so they could have them forever.

This is just the start, obviously we are about to see a host of lawsuits file against Microsoft and others. The people doing the suing won't be poor fans of games, no it will be mega corporations that have millions of dollars invested in used games. When these consoles actually come out, that is when the major lawsuits will start being filed.
Of course EA isn't onboard with supporting the WiiU right now, Nintendo is allowing used games to work like it has always worked.
Because of that you have companies like EA and Activision trying to push them out. Too bad for them they never really made a ton of great games for the console in the first place so they don't have enough pull to really hurt them.

Gamestop thinks that they will corner the market on used games sales. Allowing them to buy game for a lot less than they already do and make a greater profit. This is exactly what will happen and people will only be buying AAA games. Sure a few will buy some less known games, but most will not. Which means that developers will have to push themselves to make their games compete against AAA games. That means bigger budgets and less risks taken.
