They do a good job of putting huge armories before all the bosses.
Plus, you should always have some sort of lethal weapon just in case things go wrong stealth wise. I usually have the silenced combat rifle, the heavy rifle, and the explosive revolver.
I did the same thing with Jonsin and while it was annoying with the hud, that battle was far from difficult.
Interesting article. I just got done with the third boss in the game. The boss battles are pretty easy; you just have to play smart. I've been playing the game mostly stealthy with the Tranq Rifle, but I always have my silenced combat rifle, explosive ammo infused revolver, and giant heavy machine gun in case things get hairy. Even though I don't really end up using them except for boss battles, it's like a safety blanket.
I hear a lot of people complainin...
Yeah, that would be a little nicer. This just looks kind of..... boring. Haven't we had enough first person shooters going for a nostalgia 40s/50s/60s vibe by now?
The game looks great, just a little generic.
It ran ok, but nothing like this. Sometimes the framerate was dipping pretty low. It wasn't surprising at the time with how much they were putting on that screen and how beautiful it looked, but SotC definitely benefits from some graphic tweaks.
PJS2 was great. It was WAY harder than the first one sometimes in a bad way with more fighting, but overall it was just more of the same PJS that was so great.
I'm curious about this game. Id is great at engines, but hasn't made a great game in a LONG time. I'm more weary than excited right now.
Yeah, I kind of agree. However, I still REALLY want to see how the trilogy ends up in AC. While I know it won't be anything new, those games are hard to put down once you get into them.
The ball is a foot long. That's why it's called football.
On a side not, GO EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wow. That looks completely awesome.
good catch! I don't think that's the ancestor. That's definitely just Desmond all bearded out for the epic conclusion to this trilogy. I would guess that the next ancestor they'll take is either going to be from the industrial revolution in London or Paris. From there, who knows? Maybe we'll get to play subject 16's story on next gen consoles!
yeah, it looks pretty fun!
It seems like sony is really are trying to have a great lineup of games for this device. The only thing I hope is that they don't put them out all at the beginning and then we have a year of absolutely nothing. If they put these games out in piecemeal allowing time for word of mouth to kick in, I think they could really have a winner here.
It's a pretty old game. Plus, Chaos Theory and Pandora Tomorrow were far superior graphically to the first one. This looks great from how I remember it.
I'm the same way, but I get used to it after a while. Going back to other games is when it gets tough.
Definitely. Plus, Oct. 4th also has Batman AND Rage coming out which arguably are bigger titles. Honestly, this game is going to need breathing room to be successful and hit it's true stride. Good decision, Jaffe.
It's just what happens with big games. I'm not comparing the story to Heavy Rain's, but I remember when that one came out and everyone was devastated. Luckily, I avoided that one, but if certain people can ruin things for others they will do anything to make it happen. It's an unfortunate truth.
You just watched art in its highest form.
You know, it really depends on what you're looking for in a game. As a huge fan of fast paced games with lots of mobility RE4 just wasn't for me. I played all the way through to the end, but it just didn't grab me.
If you like more methodically paced horror games with heavy atmosphere and lots of zombie spaniard killing, then RE4 is perfect for you.
This kind of fits the game. It looks sort of dumb, but it's funny and looks very '90s in a charming way.
haha.... That's the comic con reveal, lol.
Not the best games. Think of the great games of the last couple years: Uncharted 2, God of War 3, Portal 2, and the list goes on. All have stellar openings. However, for an RPG, I don't expect it to have an incredible opening.
