Its nice that you all are in one great circle jerk, but truth of the matter is what you guys penalize Nintendo for. Both Sony and Microsoft do the same things with their franchises, but Nintendo's are just more popular that's all... Sony needed to create many new franchises because they really didn't have any during the PS2 yrs, they relied on 3rd party exclusives for their content. To be honest, why do you guys care anyways? Its not like you plan on supporting the company if they...
Damn Nintendo must be doing something right, because in a world where people say exclusives matter. They're finally doing what it takes to lock down some unique software in addition to their own and people are talking about how the game is going to bomb sales wise. The fact is most Sony exclusives don't sell near the numbers that Nintendo's franchises do, but yet people still use them in arguments for why Sony is better. If it's about quality over quantity, then people people ...
With the limited Best Buy demo locations to be had, I'm really hoping that Nintendo does announce a E3 experience for the current system owners...
Actually as many have stated before, hopefully Retro has multiple projects going at the same time right now! So maybe we could see what they are wrapping up now and a glimpse into the future...
Personally I feel the same way... I want Retro to use Metroid to showcase what the system is truly capable of and then use the same engine with the know how they garnered from the 1st WiiU game to make something amazing and new the second time around!
The other games have definitely earned their props, but Drive Club not so much! Polyphony is in the league of Naughty Dog when it comes to their caliber of games but you just can't say that about every developer simply because they are familiar with a genre of games. I say this about any developer, not just ones particullar to Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo... Until they reach that status of greatness that everything they touch turns to gold, most of developers get a wait and see on their ga...
I don't know about this! I think Sony could very well price themselves out of the console business... The PS4 must be an instant success, but how does Sony plan on fighting a company with Microsoft's amount of cash on hand? People can't say with games, because Microsoft is throwing 1Billion$ at new games alone. It just seems like a game of poker here and I'm not so sure that Sony is sitting at the right table at the moment. Has nothing to do with the PS4 being an amazing syste...
For the people that are trashing the visuals, go on YouTube and watch in HD a couple of times! Everything is moving at such a fast pace, but the more you watch the more you can see this game is going to do wonders for the Sonic franchise...
That may seem so to you, but factor in Nintendo publishing Bayonetta 2, the 3 Sonic exclusive games and Yakuza 1&2 hd collection coming to the WiiU shows a pretty strong relationship there... If there's an urge to get this game made it would probably be offered to Nintendo at this point first before anyone else because of their close ties.
Its not confirmed that they were talking about Shenmue as the man does own his own studio in YSNet and could've been discussing projects he has under that company. He doesn't even have the same roll at Sega or the rights to Shenmue, so this wouldn't even be his call to make! And Nintendo just entered into a world wide deal with Sega not Capcom, which is why people are suggesting a WiiU possibility. Nintendo stepping in to save Bayo2 is one thing, but if they pony up the money for ...
Here's what I don't understand, if Nintendo and Sega announced a partnership for 3 exclusive Sonic titles. Why are we including Sonic&Mario in as one of the three? That game is exclusive by default because of Mario. So shouldn't we be expecting two more game announcements? I've been wondering about this from the very first statement in the ND.
Cloud computing is the future but the infrastructure just isn't there quite yet. Not to mention that giving in to the idea of cloud computing means that people have to be ok with an always on and connected console. The Kindle uses cloud computing for the Silk browser and its very hit or miss with its performance. There is a great possibility that these consoles maybe the last of their kind for awhile!(Not Nintendo though as I think they have one more traditional system after the WiiU befo...
What's so wrong about this crazy dismissive analysis is that Sony has a 100 million dollar marketing budget for the PS4 launch and Microsoft is pouring 1billion dollars into games alone all for Xbox One! You can't even compare the two and just pretend that Sony's going to walk away with this without a fight... I'm not even a big Microsoft supporter, but I know on their best day that neither Nintendo nor Sony can compete with Microsoft when it comes to marketing. The fact that ...
What's crazy is that both companies are implementing DRM of some sort into their platforms and yet Microsoft is catching all of the flack for it! No matter how you spin it, if Sony says that it will be up to the publishers on if their games are DRM required then most 3rd party developers will probably choose to use the functions to rake in the extra profits...
I think many here are very delusional to think that 2 or 3 Sony games will control the outcome of Microsoft and Nintendo's unveiling of new games at E3! It would make their showing better, but people can't so easily discount that both Nintendo and Microsoft aren't working on great things as well. For Microsoft to come out and announce they they are spending more on gaming then they ever have in the history of Xbox should make many take notice...
See I agree with this^! Because Sony has implemented the tech into the PS4 in the first place... They are just passing the buck on this used games fiasco, because they know it would be a big issue among gamers.
I think it all comes down to included features! Both Nintendo and Microsoft are betting on changing the way gamers interact with games by making it available to everyone that purchases their systems and Sony is content with builing a better PS3... Not that there's anything wrong with that, but with the current PS3 still selling very strong, what is the motivation to make the jump to PS4 for the average gamer? Of course the hardcore Sony fanbase will jump immediately because of graphics. B...
Its already been confirmed by Ubisoft that the WiiU version will be derived from the PC version. Just like the PS4 & Xbox One will be!
I was just wondering with Sega and Nintendo's great relationship how epic would an Aliens x Metroid be? She's a bounty hunter that travels through space to unknown planets, so it wouldn't be too far fetched to come up with a great tie in story.
I hate to inform you guys but what about e3 is open to the public?
If people even thought to read Nintendo's schedule, they have the Nintendo Direct that morning, developer interviews, WiiU software and Pokemon Direct. As long as the press has access to most of this, thats how the general public finds out about e3 information. Nintendo is the only manufacturer that is partnering with a retail chain to make e3 demos playable to the public, but they'll never get credit for doing...
