This is the only game that has me interested in PS4 so far...

Well its obvious that for people to try and make it seem like Mario does't help sell systems, they almost always go back to the GC which launched over 11yrs ago!(The GC didn't even launch with a SM game) Since then the Mario franchise has become even more popular and the closest example of this formula would be the 3ds getting both SM3d land and MK7 around the very same timeframe.
So let me get this straight, people on this site actually believe that KZ:SF will sell PS4's but a new 3d Mario will do nothing for the WiiU!

Well technically Ubisoft can't talk about specific Next Xbox features before the reveal. So that's most likely why they only mention this for ps4 now...

I agree with you 100%, but what would make this analysis kind of true. Is if the author pointed out how Nintendo launching 2 brand new devices so close to each other. Probably skewed development resources towards the 3ds side of things since it launched first and too struggled out of the gate with software... But I don't think its any of the factors that this person is pursuing at though! Some are just down right laughable.

E3 is not as mainstream as you would like to believe...
If that were the case it would get air time on Fox, NBC, ABC or CBS and that's just not the case. E3 is a big show put on for the journalist to convey to the fans, that's all! In the end most of us watch the press conferences by internet probably anyways. I don't care how they get the info out I just want to hear about new games that's all. Now if E3 was open to the public, then this news would be absolutely chaot...

I hope you know that you argument does go both ways and when the Yen is strong, that to has a magnifying effect on losses that these companies report. So you can't diminish the reason on one hand and then support it in another...
I would personally like to see them remake the original Zelda for the WiiU and reboot the series, maybe start another timeline. But I also think that Nintendo needs to give Zelda the anime style for the next game. Most anime can go from being light hearted at times to being very serious and dark without changing its presentation at all! The images below are what I think Link and Zelda character models should look like with some variations here and there...
People aren't looking at this situation right... Its not that Nintendo is just losing this money because something isn't selling well, because the 3ds and its games sales would surely counter balance this! The fact of the matter is, Nintendo is spending heavily and ramping up development of the amount of games being made for both the 3ds & WiiU. We just saw what's coming for the 3ds and E3 will show us the games that are coming for the WiiU.
The thing that you fail to understand is that the WiiU GamePad has virtually no lag between screen refreshes and controller input. So they maybe able to do remote play on Vita, but you probably will rarely see developers using the Vita in the same manner as the GP functionality...
Japanese 3rd party support, which the WiiU doesn't really have a problem with. There really aren't a wide spread of western 3rd party titles on the 3ds either, which shows that there is a disconnect between western developers and the audience of Nintendo gamers!
