I think the early adopters will buy the system at launch regardless and everyone else will wait for that software that makes them want the system. Its no different than any other hardware launch in the past. So if currently what Sony has announced has impressed you, then you will most likely buy the PS4 at launch!
Because its worked out so great for Sega right? At one point when Sega first got out of the hardware business, they had aspirations to be even bigger than EA as a 3rd party publisher. Their end result Is nowhere near that goal... Fact is if Nintendo's IP's were on PS or Xbox, there would be nothing unique about any of those games, because those consoles aren't unique!
Let me tell you guys, this game deserves to be made on the WiiU and to be given a decent budget at that! To those of you that haven't read the back story, go and skim what this game is all about. Because once I read it, I was like this has to be one of the better stories in videogames... So its about time Nintendo showed this series some love.
Actually I think Iwata mentioned in a ND that they do read every post!
Which is pretty damn cool to have that kind of direct feedback...
They can't read those! For some reason they just look for anything with Mario in the title, because they think that's all Nintendo makes... Silly trolls
Somebody should put out a "Nintendo IP for Dummies" book, I'm sure it would be a best seller:-)
Lol! As Sony is launching their new system with sequels and a few new IP's that most of you won't even try out. So I noticed that most of you try and diminish the quality of Nintendo's games by calling them sequels, rehashes and the same crap constantly. But reviewers would jump all over this if that was even remotely the case and most Nintendo games score very high... Its not like these people are throwing Nintendo a free pass or something. Most news sites are trashing the WiiU l...
Articles like this are ridiculous because we don't know everything that Nintendo has in store for the WiiU yet! Its obvious from the way that they named game after game, they are just trying to clear the way for E3 to be all about WiiU. But if after E3 comes and goes and if the 3ds software line-up at that point looks more interesting than WiiU's that would be the time to make such a claim.
Probably depends on what games it's going up against when released! Right now this is all to early to tell, but even major franchises aren't selling the way publishers had hoped(TR, Hitman, Max Payne, etc)...
Well in all fairness one of the very first things that they said about the game is that its still under development. I personally like the art style and think that its true to that Zelda world! The most important aspect for me is how the game plays and when I saw the new gameplay mechanic of "hieroglyph" mode I was sold on this game at that point... Nintendo is just coming up with ways to show how this type of gaming is unique to the 3ds.
I just found that aticle about the Wal-mart preorder list and it had LoZ rpg2 as a WiiU game. So either it was listed under the wrong console or there's another game being made for the WiiU as well. Still hyped up about this new Zelda though! I think once Nintendo finishes putting out great games over the 3ds' lifespan, they will prove just how viable the 3d aspect can be to gaming.
Yeah I notice that as well, but that might have to do with Hulu updating the App and making it more stable. Netflix has no problems at all and neither does Amazon Instant Video. I want Nintendo to incorporate an override hard reset, either by just holding the power button on the console for 10seconds or by holding down the home and power button on the GamePad. Something has to be done differently though than unplugging it from the back...
This is why Nintendo innovates! Because the way used 3d and then Link becoming a hieroglyphic like drawing just adds depth and personality to this game tremendously. I guess we should go back and revisit that Wal-Mart preorder list that was leaked, because it had a LoZ rpg 2 on that list and now Nintendo pretty much confirmed that today.
If Bayonetta 1 was such a horrible game, then why are you guys so upset and bothered that Bayo 2 isn't coming to your console of choice?
Sony or Microsoft could have stepped up and done what Nintendo did, so lets just stop crying over spilled milk now children...
Go do some learning and then come back to these grown up discussions when you understand production credits, royalties, contracts and agreements. The man clearly stated that the exclusivity of Bayonetta 2 & W101 is up to Nintendo. So if Nintendo wants it to appear on other platforms then it will! Why is this so difficult for people to grasp and understand?
Why would he even need to do something like this just to promote his game? Everyone knows that the New Metal Gear games will trounce KZ SF in sales easily...
You are right about Rayman, but wrong about Ninja Gaiden... This game was already made and Nintendo basically paid for the game to be fixed and then put on the WiiU. But the game had already been published though... Games like Bayonetta 2, Lego City & W101 are being funded by Nintendo from the ground up to be published onto the WiiU. There's a major difference here and people should compare it to song publishing... If an artist such as Paul McCartney releases a song that he wrote (say...
It just goes to show that reading is fundamental!
Its listed as an opinion piece...
Not news...
Got it...
This is actually a pretty good read and the writer isn't being biased or clamoring up 3rd party support where there is none... He's basically speaking from a point of what he knows about the system and seeing as how we just know some general specs on PS4. He even states that he would wait to weigh his opinions and thoughts on the other two when more info is released. People just don't like facts and the guy points out some very interesting points that many here will choose to ign...
Maybe Namco and Nintendo working together on Smash Bros. Is how this came to be... I remember awhile back that it was rumored of the WiiU getting a 3rd party exclusive that would stir more commotion than Bayonetta 2 did, but I'm not so sure if this is that game though! Seems Nintendo is really trying to solidify that spot in Japan and hopefully they come through equally in the western regions also.
Isnt any new IP unproven though? The Last of Us is an unproven franchise, but people expect it to be good because of the developer that its coming from... Well that's the same thing for Watch Dogs as well!
