Yo, Troll Police. Time to arrest yourself.
Well, CivAddict received 14 agrees, so clearly he's considered an expert.
After all, everybody knows how MASSIVELY important "crazy fast RAM" is for real-world performance. I mean, DDR3 triples your frames per seconds, right? RIGHT?
I bought it for $4 on Steam during the Summer sale.
Why wait? You can get excellent hardware for a great price right now.
Anything above a GTX 460 is pointless because no games make use of this power. Unless you want to game on multiple screens.
Oh wow, they look darn near identical. What a surprise considering they're made for the same hardware. Moving on.
Runs fine on a 6-core Windows 7 64 bit. In HD, too.
It's possible that the PS3 version could be better than it is. But we can't know for sure. The limitation may be in the graphics processor which is way to weak to be a proper match for Cell.
The Cell is a very powerful component but it lacks equally powerful companions (i.e. GPU and RAM).
It's a bit like pairing an i7 quad core with a 7 series Geforce and 512 MB of RAM. The CPU could play any game no problem, but the other components will limit th...
There are many more differences between the versions than texture res and draw distance.
Here's a detailed comparison video:

50 seconds in, check out the shadow quality in the split screen for instance.
Or at 1:35, compare the water detail.
Also, the LOD aggressiveness is very different. Check out how mushy the textu...
Now wait a moment. I played the game in 1920x1200 just last month. Built-in support for 1200p, welcome to the 21st century folks.
That's a pretty childish way of looking at things.
Pachter didn't say there won't be another console cycle. He said that consoles will eventually die out, and that there's a chance we won't even see the next cycle, even though this is very unlikely.
Nvidia have been "fighting against innovation"? Are you folks out of your mind?
It's fine if you personally don't like their technologies, but this statement is just ridiculous. Things like CUDA and 3D Vision are getting bigger every day. CUDA in particular has had a huge impact, just look at all the software support.
Yup, it sucks pretty badly.

I must say that I like how modern games don't require you to read the manual. I much prefer in-game tutorials that teach you how to play.
Even complicated games like Civilization 4 (the first Civ I ever tried) or Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 can be grasped entirely by playing the in-game tutorials.
They're not legally required to notify you. Read their terms of service.
They clearly state that the service may close at any time. It's your responsibility to download and backup all the stuff you buy from them.
Halo? I wouldn't play that stuff if it were given to me for free.
Alan Wake is the only thing I'd be interested in.
A prank, eh? I hope Steam buys these suckers up asap.
266,505 is just a snapshot in time. People log on and off. Spread out across a 24-hour day, the number is probably about 15 to 20 times as high.
<<Battlefield BC2
PC - .31 million
360 - 2.54 million
PS3 - 1.84 million>>
http://bfbcs.com/ shows you just how accurate VGChartz is for not taking into account digital sales. The PC is roughly on par with the PS3 in terms of players/sales.
"nope never going to get a projector even if its some kind of new hd shit they are all terrible (compared to tvs)"
That might just be the most ignorant and factually incorrect statement I've read this year.
Oh really?
I won't waste more than 30 seconds on you, so here's the first RAM speed comparison Google brought up. Have fun:

Edit: This site is so awesome. I get disagrees for posting an article that benchmarks RAM modules.
So which is it: you don't like the results or you don't even understand the numbers?
