All you people who have never played Crysis: stop commenting on its gameplay and reducing it to its graphics.

Even if you've never played the game, you could at least check out Wikipedia and open your eyes to how well it was received:

<<Crysis was awarded a 98% in the PC Gamer U.S. Holiday 2007 issue, making it one of the highest rated games ever in PC Gamer, tying with Half-Life 2 and Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri.[22] The UK edition of the magazine awarded the...

Well the only thing on the sosneywork site right now is concept art and a bunch of shots that don't look in-game at all.

These two screenshots mark the first real glimpse at the actual game, so that's all we can comment on. And they look like crap, especially compared to the first game.

Look at all the debris blocking the streets. It doesn't seem as if there are more than one or two ways to continue at any given point.

Uhm, I don't like modding games though. I want a great looking game out of the box.

A mere 9 hours ago I received 5 disagrees for posting this:
"In the trailers none of the in-game footage looks anywhere near as great as the cutscenes though. I have a feeling those cutscenes are pre-calculated and stored as videos."

And it makes me sad to be right. If they hadn't dropped the PC version, the entire game would look like the cuts...

Google failed you. Maybe you people should stop posting when you clearly have never played the game in your life.

The game Crysis is on a single DVD. Editions with 2 DVDs have bonus materials on the second DVD, but it's not part of the actual game.

This may be the most uninformed post I have ever read.

Here's a hint: the first Crysis ships on a DVD9. Crazy, huh?

@2.5
You clearly haven't played Crysis once in your life. It doesn't look like a PS2 game even on the lowest settings. And a dual core with a mid-range graphics card runs the game fine on Medium-High.

An article on sales without any numbers and data. Nice journalism.

Oh, and <<Today's console games are considered superior to their PC counterparts>> that's hilarious. Name one game whose PC counterpart is inferior to the console version. Please, I'm listening.

At some point it's not about "knowing the PS3" anymore. At some point the ceiling of what's technologically possible has been hit.
And considering the PS3 hardware is 4 years old, you're just not going to see massive improvements anymore.

It was ingame. But I'm not surprised that there's confusion about it after reading comments like "Killzone 2 is the best looking fps". That's pretty hilarious.

Of course it's ingame.

LOL, what a funny test. I skimmed through and found their Unigine conclusion:
"In the Unigine Heaven synthetic benchmark you can see how the GeForce GTX 480 is far superior to the HD 5870 in terms of DirectX 11 tessellation. The GTX 480 beats the HD 5870 by a whopping 42%"

430 vs. 750 is an increase of 74%. The math goes (750-430)/430 not (750-430)/750.

What a bunch of losers, they probably messed up the other data, too. But I won't bother to check.

GTA IV is the biggest joke. My somewhat dated (4 years old) two-core rig with an updated graphics card runs Crysis and everything else but chokes on GTA IV.

GTA got its start on the PC, I even own the very first game. And now we're second-rate customers who don't even deserve a properly optimized port.

Eyefinity looks alright. But I don't understand why they don't release bigger and/or wider monitors. Why not release something like a 40-inch monitor with a 2.5:1 aspect ratio (slightly wider than cinemascope).

You wouldn't have to put up with these idiotic bezels.

Right now, 30-inch 16:10 is the biggest you can get. There are bigger TVs of course, but they're only 1080p while a 30-inch is 1600p. Where's a 40-inch 2000p?

They should release some actual sales numbers already.

According to this, Bad Company 2 on PC has about three times as much multiplayer activity as 360 and PS3, yet all you ever hear is how badly PC retail sales are doing.

Wow, this looks really, really bad. The graphics are awful and the gameplay looks completely bland and boring.

I remember being addicted to the multiplayer mode of DN3D, and later Shadow Warrior. But DNF really doesn't excite me anymore. Maybe back in 1999, but this game has just been in production for too long and it has seen to many overhauls. I think it can only disappoint anymore.

Both Alice and Clash of the Titans were shot in 2D and then converted to 3D in post-production. The underwhelming 3d conversion of Titans was done in only 6 weeks.

Avatar on the other hand was shot in native 3d on a dual camera system.
