@GTgamer: "Yall ain't even buy forza and tomb raider so stop playing"
That one was below the belt. lol
OT: The general consensus is PS4 won 2015. More games, higher scores, more sales.
Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part, but I'd like to think that they would churn out good games if developing for their own console.
Since the Genesis/SNES days, I've always been one to eventually own all the popular consoles. Last gen however, I bought both Xbox 360 and PS3 on launch. Since day one I enjoyed my launch PS3 and continue to do so till this day. I was never bothered by the PS3 price point, as you got great build quality and features. The 360 seemed good too for it's price point, but I was put off by the fact mine died of the RRoD 11 months in. But what really turned me off was the great loss of exclus...
One of the greatest lines in the Simpsons history.
@Kalebninja
"With that logic people who got the last of us should have gotten the PS4 version for free."
I would say it should depend whether the game is remastered or not. If it's not remastered and you already own the digital version, no. If the game is remastered (and not simply better looking due to the emulator), then I think to sell the remastered version is fine.
I think of it the same way as purchased music. Playing it on a bette...
@rainslacker
Actually, Sega announced the discontinuation of the Dreamcast just days after Microsoft showcased the Xbox. While the PS2 was a runaway success, the Dreamcast wasn't exactly a failure until Sega chose to give up on it. Sega figured with MS joining the game and Nintendo coming off the N64, they would lose too much money to withstand the generation. Had they known the Xbox and GC would only muster up 20-25 million each, they likely would have continued on and p...
"If Mattrick wanted, he would still be working somewhere within MS".
Not without a paycheck...
Uncharted 4
I'm surprised people are disagreeing with you. In order to stop the gap from growing, the XBO would have to match PS4's monthly sales at the very least, or pass it to even begin closing the gap.
"They can't. They need time to hype the console and have coverage for games that will release aside from it."
Anythings possible. What Sega did was far worse. :P
That's what I'm wondering as well.
I have a feeling they'll show it at E3 and announce a late fall 2016 release.
@Magnes
Well said.
@Septic
"Yes I can and I did. You even pasted my comment. Want me to pretend that Sony fanboys aren't being idiots with their ulterior motives in bringing this up though? You think its all genuine 'concern'? "
Pretend seems to a good choice for words, since that's all you seem to be doing. Like pretending there aren't other reasons contributing to the poor sales, or pretending that everyone with a differing opinion than yours mus...
He never mentioned the PS4. Or PC for that matter.
Careful Septic, your fanboy is showing.
"Either way, I do agree with many that Tomb Raider's sales suffered as a result of MS' silly decision to release it alongside Fallout.
But the game has been greatly received and obviously many people have pounced on the sales point desperately to somehow diminish the value of the game's appearance on the X1."
You acknowledge one mistake, but not another. Releasing only the X1 hurt this game's sales. Yet you speak of those pointing ou...
"How about X1 gamers stop talking about how much Tomb Raider was such a big deal and go support the game and buy it"
QFT. If the sales are bad, it could jeopardize the future of the Tomb Raider franchise.
Quite a few I would imagine.
During the 16-bit era, Sega and Nintendo were pretty neck and neck. It kept things interesting and you benefited greatly from owning both consoles.
Had a feeling the DDoS kids would be back. :/
