"Phil Spencer is God's gift to all gamers."
Yes, gamers like me love having games they're interested in butchered and/or canceled. On the other hand, he has saved me from having to drop a few hundred bucks on a console.
Karma is a bitch. MS had their chance with the 360, and now that the tables are turned they're singing a different tune.
@ForeverTheGoat "And you care about sales why exactly. If the money isn’t going in your pocket then it shouldn’t be a concern. "
Here's a concept that's not too hard to grasp: The more software selling on his console, the likelier it will receive better support in all it's forms (more patches, games, etc).
He's got nothing on Teddy Ruxpin.
I'll probably give it a whirl on my PC also.
"And with it being play anywhere you can play it on your Xbox you have been playing halo 5 on too".
lol Halo 5. I used to really enjoy the Halo series, and even went to many tournaments back in the day. But since Halo 4, I stopped enjoying the series. I will be picking up Destiny 2 though.
Character wise, he probably resembles Miles Prower the most. ;)
Yes, me too. Really enjoyed the Amnesia games.
And probably still damn difficult to beat. Lol
@KionicWarlord222
No, maybe you should knock it off. It seems you're getting more enjoyment out of talking about x1x specs and settings than you ever will playing it after release. A better spec'd mid-gen console releasing a year later with no true exclusives for $100 more warrants you losing your shit? Seriously, if all you care about is specs, then build/buy a badass gaming rig that puts x1x to shame, and plays all it's games and so much more. At least then yo...
They're not exclusive. Lol
Switch, PS4 and PC combo ftw. No other hardware needed. And I thank Phil for eliminating the need to buy another platform, but wished he invested a lot more into 1st party than the few games in development.
@sd11 "I have a gaming pc, I am also buying the xbox x day 1. If you Have the money for a decent gaming pc then xbox x is a tiny purchase. Why not add one x to the collection."
Hmm... Redundancy and having to buy a live subscription year after year just to play it's games online, when the money saved on all of that could be put towards making your "decent" gaming PC a real beast? I know, crazy talk.
"If they announced an Xbox 2 releasing in the next 1-2 years they would lose their biggest fan base."
Would they? Most of their biggest fanbase would praise them, defend them and mock the competition like they usually do.
"Patcher is a clown that make big money by stating the obvious 90% of the time."
Agreed. And it's pretty damn obvious xbonex isn't going to move well, yet so many are in denial and think this is a game changer.
Looking tens times better? Lol Yeah, and I suppose you thought base PS4 was looking ten times better than base Xbx?
Some of the wishful thinkers on here really border on being delusional.
RIP Chester. You inspired me and many others.
And while not gaming related, we can also look at Nokia.
The moral of the story is don't get in bed with MS. You'll just end up getting... I won't finish that thought. lol
Would you really? I'd be the opposite since I wouldn't want to sacrifice not being able to play many PC titles not available on x1x. And bargain wise, you're saving yearly live subscription fees which would be a new expense going the x1x route.
@Septic: Of course you got to laugh. Even you must think you sound ridiculous by now.
Sorry, no double standards here.
As soon as I saw the headline, I thought oh here we go. The Kings of damage control and not far behind, their loyal subjects.
"Lol with a fanbase like this, Sony's next gaming console could be a hair brush and people would still defend it and call it 'for the players'. "
Try someone else, Septic. Last gen, I was seriously pissed off with Sony for the OtherOS removal and was very vocal about it. It might be hard for someone who needlessly pledges their loyalty to a brand to understand, but many of us multi-platform gamers call BS when we see it, regardless of who the offender ...
