Indeed, this is why THPS 3+4 is a rushed half-baked game. Its missing the entire THPS 4 free roam career mode, even though NeverSoft developed THPS 4 in around 10 months on PS2 hardware back in 2001. Yet in 2025, the richest company in the world can't be arsed to pay for a development budget to properly remake the 2001 game.
Embarrassing.
He's been terrible at the job for the past 11 years, when have we had enough of his failings? But to be honest, who would do a 'better' job than him? Any replacement at this point would also be terrible at the job, so what's the point of even bothering to replace him?
The Xbox division is lost. They've gone full third party, they've completely abandoned offline install physical media, most of their games are sub par or worse. Nearly every game that c...
I said this a few months ago, Microsoft has displayed a historical pattern of promising games when they are extremely early in development, in order to get you to buy their hardware.
Then the game ends up canned, fake apologies are issued, damage control is performed, and they hope their fan bases forgets about it within a few weeks, only for the process to repeat over and over again. Idiot Spencer has completely ruined the Xbox brand over the past 11 years. It didn't h...
January 2017: Scalebound canceled. Phil said that this would be a good thing for the Xbox eco system. (LIES!)
June 2025: Perfect Dark canceled. Phil / Sarah will lie some more, spinning this as to how its good to lose a game people were looking forward to.
Can we get a full list of games canceled under Spencer's management? It would be shameful.
What a disgrace. What a disaster. It didn't even have to be this way. I liked Xbox from 2001 - 2011 a lot! But all the great people left, Ed Fries, Seamus Blackley, J. Allard, those are the studs that actually wanted to not only compete fairly, but wanted to create great games and not just buy up the industry in order to choke out Sony.
I would have bought the collector's edition if it came with the disc, or if it didn't come with the digital download, and sold for $70 less, then I would have bought the disc separately.
Overall PS5 is still a traditional console, with offline game installs, as it should be, and that's why I keep buying PS5 games.
Microsoft and most third party games on Switch 2 being digital is crap to me, you're not getting my money.
We don't need remakes of PS4 launch games. The first game makes more sense, though its not like I care about Ubisoft games anymore these days.
Their reputation already in the toilet. They clearly don't give a crap (pun intended).
Xbox has abandoned physical media, and I've abandoned Xbox.
The previous one was a failure, hopefully this one is better.
At least the Dreamcast was an amazing system (still is!), the last two Xbox generations have been shameful.
Backwards compatibility is a good thing, but my issue is that Microsoft is abandoning physical media, even Xbox Series games don't work without an internet connection, and I hate that.
So I'll happily keep buying my PS5 games, which contrary to what some people like to lie about, work perfectly fine with offline installs.

The executives forced the game to come out unfinished, no different than other broken games throughout history, from Sonic 2006, to Redfall, to Assassin's Creed Unity, to whatever else you can think of. If the development team had their way, the game wouldn't be out yet, but they don't control the money, and thus they don't control the release date. Always keep that in mind(seye).
Okay, enjoy playing Ubisoft filler junk instead, without even realizing it. Too funny.
Because its a scam for Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft to sell more overpriced controllers.
Not bad for a system that launched with only four brand new games, Mario Kart, Rune Factory, Survival Kids, Fast RMX, only one of those games is high profile.
Mario Kart is carrying the Switch 2 on its own. Reminds me of the N64 launch where Mario 64 had to carry the new console on its own (sorry Pilotwings 64!).
Still keeping my day 0 Switch 2 unupdated just in case.
So the opposing viewpoint that Ubisoft has these days? Good. I'm sick of extra long, filler games, not because shorter is better, but rather because I want an exciting game all the way through, and I'd rather have less content, if that content is of higher quality (more unique scenarios or freedom to complete an objective in my own way), than repeatedly performing copy & paste boring quests throughout a massive game map. That to me is not interesting.
Edit: The ...
Any game (be it Ubisoft or any other company) with an unnecessary shoe-horned in experience points system, endless resources collection, and a micro-trash-action store that sells you boosters that alleviate the grind.
They do it on purpose to nudge players towards spending more money, and its something I refuse to support. Nearly all modern Ubisoft games have experience points and skill trees these days, not because it makes the games better, but because it can potentially ...
No disc in the C.E. is why I didn't buy Death Stranding 2 yet, I'm certainly not paying full price for a C.E. that doesn't have a damn disc! I'll get it next year during the Days of Play sale for 50 - 60% off, just like I bought the Spider-Man 2 C.E. 4 weeks ago for 50% off.
