At least the Dreamcast was an amazing system (still is!), the last two Xbox generations have been shameful.
Backwards compatibility is a good thing, but my issue is that Microsoft is abandoning physical media, even Xbox Series games don't work without an internet connection, and I hate that.
So I'll happily keep buying my PS5 games, which contrary to what some people like to lie about, work perfectly fine with offline installs.

The executives forced the game to come out unfinished, no different than other broken games throughout history, from Sonic 2006, to Redfall, to Assassin's Creed Unity, to whatever else you can think of. If the development team had their way, the game wouldn't be out yet, but they don't control the money, and thus they don't control the release date. Always keep that in mind(seye).
Okay, enjoy playing Ubisoft filler junk instead, without even realizing it. Too funny.
Because its a scam for Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft to sell more overpriced controllers.
Not bad for a system that launched with only four brand new games, Mario Kart, Rune Factory, Survival Kids, Fast RMX, only one of those games is high profile.
Mario Kart is carrying the Switch 2 on its own. Reminds me of the N64 launch where Mario 64 had to carry the new console on its own (sorry Pilotwings 64!).
Still keeping my day 0 Switch 2 unupdated just in case.
So the opposing viewpoint that Ubisoft has these days? Good. I'm sick of extra long, filler games, not because shorter is better, but rather because I want an exciting game all the way through, and I'd rather have less content, if that content is of higher quality (more unique scenarios or freedom to complete an objective in my own way), than repeatedly performing copy & paste boring quests throughout a massive game map. That to me is not interesting.
Edit: The ...
Any game (be it Ubisoft or any other company) with an unnecessary shoe-horned in experience points system, endless resources collection, and a micro-trash-action store that sells you boosters that alleviate the grind.
They do it on purpose to nudge players towards spending more money, and its something I refuse to support. Nearly all modern Ubisoft games have experience points and skill trees these days, not because it makes the games better, but because it can potentially ...
Bricking isn't an issue if you stay offline (which all pirates should be doing anyway), only a fool would take their hacked game console online, unless if you have EmuNAND, which Switch 1 allows, then you're safe.
Anyway, my Switch 2 will be OFFLINE, and never bricked.
If only they made a single player game that also had a basic, but fun multiplayer mode, which wasn't live service focused. Just like we got back during the PS2 / PS3 era of gaming. Alas, these big corps don't understand anything anymore. They all chase the biggest dollars possible, while also losing endless money in their never ending pursuit of greed.
Ubishit burned so many bridges with fans, releasing filler dreck that was purposefully designed to push you towards micro-trash-actions. It didn't have to be this way, they could have respected us players more, instead of making players waste countless hours of their life just to see stupid "experience points and resources numbers go up" and attempt to profit off us in such a disrespectful way. I stopped supporting them a long time ago. Keep burning bridges, and keep burning you...
People love hacking Nintendo hardware. It may take awhile, but its going to happen. If for nothing else but game preservation can only be achieved via homebrew / modding.
Microsoft and Bethesda 'quality control'. Embarrassing.
This actually makes sense and now I understand why things are this way. That being said, small indie games like 2D platformers don't even need all that SSD express speed. They could run just fine using a Switch 1 style slower cartridge. Or even force a mandatory install from a slower cartridge, at least then the entire game contents is still on the cartridge, which is what people want.
There are solutions, but Nintendo is being Nintendo, a pain in the ass.
Why does it look damaged and deformed? 😂
In the past, I've always been looking forward towards the next generation of consoles. But now, please keep next generation away for a long time.
Here's something innovative, finish the God damn story. Wow, a concept! Locking a series behind forced innovation is stupid, and stupidity is not innovation.
I believe its called a "five finger discount."
The previous one was a failure, hopefully this one is better.
