Only the first 10 years of Xbox was worth celebrating, 2001 - 2011. The past 15 years have been utter trash.
Ask yourselves what's happened in the past 15 years, Don Mattrick shot the brand in the foot back in 2013, then Phil took over and shot the brand in the head. Congratulations, you've successfully killed off a brand that had potential, and caused irreparable harm to the industry at large with your consolidations and firings in the process.
So cool how we get to vote on game of the year, before the year is even over.

Hurray, endless crunch for the developers!
It'll take multiple years to fully patch a single game of launch day issues.
This is an excellent way to kill your brand and company.
They've given up on the Series generation, honestly, they gave up before it even started, when they launched a new generation with zero NEW first party games, even though the previous generation was extremely light on first party games, including the One X which also launched with zero NEW first party games. Every choice they've made since 2013 has been a terrible one.
Yearly reminder that The Game Awards is pointless trash, run by buffoons that don't respect the game industry, and complaining about it is a waste of time.
Another boring cube, and under powered to boot, Valve has infinite money, but aren't willing to go further with the specs? At least offer an Ultra model.
Yeah, PS5 (Pro) still has a long life ahead of it, I don't even want to see a PS6 for a long time, this generation is finally hitting its stride, let's make the most of it first before moving on.
The irony is that there's nothing prestigious about playing Collar Duty so much that you end up prestiging your rank.
Its more of a black mark on your account.
Not even Hell Divers 2 success counts?
If you mocked Sony for the amount of Last of Us re-releases, then it is required by law for you to also mock Microsoft for the amount of Halo re-releases.
And to answer the question posed, the reason is because Microsoft doesn't have any talent anymore. So they're relying on old successful games to get by, just like Konami these days, what a shame.
If you support EA financially, you are part of the problem.
Microsoft being anti-physical since 2013, not surprised. Good thing I stopped supporting them back in 2013 as well.
That should have been obvious before work started on this snoozefest.
Rebecca deserved better. Have the RE0 remake be a masterpiece.
That $5 subscription only has NES / SNES / GB games. You have to pay for the next tier to get the other platforms, including the eventual DS games, which is $50, and I just checked and didn't see the option to pay month-to-month, it has to be a full year subscription.
He's a scamming, lying, thieving bastard.
This company has been releasing sub-par Sega classics for years now. Each and every time, the original arcade or home console version is superior to the remake.
And most likely crappy ones at that.
"as Microsoft seems particularly fearful of creating "over supply" situations"
As opposed to 2014 when Microsoft were trying hard to ship an excess of Xbox One consoles (referred to as 'channel stuffing' apparently), to retailers, in order to make their sales look better than they actually were.
Anyway, I don't believe this Windows Central article, the Xbox brand is dying out, I've been to stores recently, and there's b...
This is what's ruining the entire industry, the desire for ever increasing profits. Executives that run these companies are placed in endless pressure to keep increasing their profits or shareholders chew them out, and possibly remove them from the company.
What a terrible way to run a company, the industry, and the world overall.
