@Nukeitall. Actually preorders are a very good marker of how something is going to sell. I have been selling games for 6 years and can tell you which games will be hits based on preorders alone. Also I have many customers coming in and switching to PS4 and taking friends and family with them. These people aren't just switching themselves, their whole groups or pairs switching together.

No it's a moot point and I'll tell you why. Fifa is ONLY going to be free on preordering day ONE units and if there aren't many units to begin with then the promotion is ineffective also buying a PS4 with Fifa in all areas of Europe is cheaper then buying a xbox One preloaded with Fifa, in the U.K. it'll be something like 40 pounds cheaper to buy PS4+Fifa then Xbox One preloaded. Also they are only releasing in SIX European countries which are as follows - U.K, France, Germa...

Hey I'd say that people buying xbox one for launch titles to be extremely shortsighted. Just consider that 360 had the better launch line up and for the first 3 years had the 'best' exclusives (many of which ended up on the PS3) and how there are absolutely pathetic offerings for 360 this year?

Is there anything stopping Capcom from releasing another version of the game? Remember Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 exclusive to 360 then out comes Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 and 2 for PS3? Although I may be inclined to believe this one since Dead Rising 1 was one of the few games that had the "Only on 360" print on it that actually never came to PS3.
Also don't forget Star Ocean, Eternal Sonata also exclusive to 360 also show up on PS3.
Exactly and our allocations are so small already and now we've been told "Stop taking xbox one preorders!", my response was "Seriously? WTF!? That's ALL we're getting?" Lol.
It's too bad, I don't think any company has released one, the only ones I've seen are the murky green 360 one and that's it. Unfortunately that one wasn't the kind of green colour I wanted otherwise that's what my 360 controller would have been.

Well based on presales I'd say no they aren't doing well especially comparing previous system launches. I work at EB games and Canada it's 4 to 1 for ps4 and allocations are so small and we still can't sell out of xbox one. There hasn't been a significant shift since they changed policies and did those 180's either.
But with MMO's like Elder Scrolls coming I think it would be a good opportunity for Lionhead to branch out and do something new. New generation is a great chance to launch a new IP then they can jump right back onto Fable after.
Really won't help. Opening preorders I won't sell. Slow to sell my remaining stock which is ridiculously low for xbox one. Giving me more units doesn't mean sales at all. My store is 241 ps4 (guaranteed units) and only 42 xbox one.
Just means they have really small allocations. For example at my EB games where I work we had an initial xbox one allocation of 30 units per store. It has not increased a lot we now have 39 preorders total. PS4 however open and closed day one units 4 times and we have 241 units (I am sure it is higher now since it's been 5 days since I worked). So if you hear that xbox one is sold out don't be surprised. We 'sold out' at 30 total units initially and it is taking us fore...
It is because Sony has a great track record and supports gamers. Ps3 hardly had games to start, but, this year has The Last Of Us, Gow Ascension, Journey collection and in the fall Ratchet Nexus, Rain, Beyond, Puppeteer, Until Dawn, and Gran Turismo just from Sony first party studios. From 3rd party we had Ni no Kun, Dragons Crown, Tales of Xillia, Atelier Ayesha, MGS complete collection and the fall has FF X/ FFX-2 HD, Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD, Guided Fate Paradox, Disgaea D2 brighter darknes...
Why would any publisher let 1 person buy and 9 others play it for free? That would put companies out of business! Anyone that thinks this would happen is dreaming.
