It's not really surprising. Customers in the U.S. really bought into the kinect, especially with MS's $500 million campaign and overall more agressive pricing. You see 360's in commercials, tv shows, movies and magazines.

Plus it's an american console so it's not surprise that people are buying product made by the good ole U.S. of A.

Also some people are still replacing their broken RROD 360's for the slim version.

Holy crap, that list has Suikoden 3 on the ps2 on it. That's a pretty rare game that still starts at like $60 for sealed copies on Ebay.

Hey you got people in this thread saying that sequels = quality games and that the 360 is now better as a media hub and it's not all about the games.

Yet when Sony had no games ALL it was good for was media and that was a bad thing. Sony = bad, Microsoft = awesome. Flip flop like politician's much? So apparently according to some having a familiar new sequel to a franchise is a NEW experience as well? Interesting how things turn around so much, almost makes you di...

It looks pretty fantastic. Uncharted is a great game to copy, so it's not a bad thing by any means.

I'd 2nd your Huntress and add Hawkgirl, Batgirl and seriously don't know how no one mentioned Lady Shiva!

I meant COD/Halo etc weren't much for variety. So you're saying stuff like Ico/Shadow of the Colossus/ Heavy Rain/Journey aren't interesting and different experiences? How does losing the N.A. market have anything to do with the great variety Sony is offering?! The amount of money a game makes also has absolutely zero to do with how good a gaming experience is. By that logic COD and Angry birds are the greatest game experiences of all time! Heavy Rain was a success for Sony, ...

Okay, but, the point is that the are taking risks because they aren't going for only the 'sure' thing. I'm sorry there could be 10 halo's and gears or whatever you can use to explain what you're saying, but, those aren't risk at all and that's what makes them so boring. Plus how do you know that LBP2, Infamous 2 etc. lost money? Just because you're sure of it does not make it a fact.

You may say it's an embarassment, but, it's wh...

They aren't gambling? How so? They've released games like Heavy Rain, Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, Journey and other games that wouldn't have been even tried on other systems. So yes there is a different level of commitment and they are taking more risk to push the boundaries a bit.

I haven't seen Microsoft or Nintendo take these kind of risks nearly as much. Don't get me wrong I understand your comment about loyalty and making money. But it's c...

Exactly! It's not necessarily the most powerful machine that will mean it's games are better. It's about using what you have to the full potential. Developers who know what they're doing now and the tricks to get every bit out of it can make something truly amazing. It's only after working so long that they've now got the grasp of what they can truly do.

I think the best analogy I heard from someone was someone once saying to me that a experienced...

I'm not sure about that overall, hardcore gamers spend money regularly and play on average more hours then most casual players I think. Just what I think though. Maybe it's because I work in a game store, but, the hardcore ones are the people who come into my store excited and we discuss games. The casuals are the ones who just come in and ask for suggestions and don't know what their kids want to or should play.

I guess if they combine the phone/tablet with kinect it could work maybe. They'd need some button layout and some other tweaks to the software though. Still have to see how much a gut punch this really is once it's out though. It has potential to be just something gimmicky as well if it's not implemented well. I guess we'll see soon.

Just the sheer amount of damage that Kratos can do though and he also has a long range bow and magic. Don't get me wrong I love Ninja Gaiden and Ryu is a kickass ninja, but, Krato's came back from hell and killed gods. I kind of doubt Ryu could come back from the kind of stuff Kratos went through.

"wonderbook. wtf. why would they show this, let alone demo it for 20 minutes? looks absolutely terrible - if they want to do AR games, they really need to spring for a better camera. VGA just makes everything look blocky and grainy. terrible demo. "

Okay so let me get this straight, they're probably paying a boatload of money to J.K. Rowling to write for wonderbook something related to Harry Potter (She is worth $560 million by the way so I assume she wouldn'...

So smart glass is a gut punch to Wii U how? Can you play a game like zombi u or do the stuff in the batman game with your smart phone? Because if your answer is no then, I fail to see how this is a blow to the Wii U.

Kratos would win, he kills gods, Ryu Hayabusa is just a man even if he is an awesome ninja.

"edit: and oh, until the PS3 passes the 360's install base they are last. No where outside of N4G the machine with the smallest install base is ahead of the one with a bigger install base. Thats N4G world wide web exclusive right there "

So then do you propose that you actually know how many working 360's there are? There are a bunch of 360's that are red ringed and not working at all. My friends all have gone 3-4 360s's EACH. I own a single 360, ...

Doesn't Nintendo have a gaming showcase tomorrow at E3 though? Or are they done announcing games and tomorrow is only to show the game features?

Stupid question, but, did they say if games are going to be on DVD or bluray or what format?

@mayberry

Exactly, I understand that people thought it took too long, but, Sony is paying a lot of money probably for this to happen and they have to market it in a way that people can understand what exactly they're selling. It's not just for fans, but, general consumers as well.

There are a lot of characters in that michael ad though. So if there's more characters from that commercial in the game then it's going to be crazy!
