How the hell does this "lucreto" have so many bubbles?

Ouch.

You guys better buy extra copies, with Sony *bleeding* money like crazy, they arent going to be able to spend this kind of money on exclusives.

ouchy, ouchy, ouch.

"the Cell and why developers are not lazy but rather as to why the Cell processor was an awful choice for a CPU in a gaming console"

Perhaps you'd like to comment on Sony's reason for splitting the memory?

I have read, and would accept as reality, that splitting the memory was for security during BluRay movie play-back.

During bluray playback, the CPU is unable to access the GPU memory, preventing piracy.

So, the PS3's desi...

@INANE:

For those who *dont* know, this will help you understand how 512MB != 512MB:

http://ozymandias.com/archi...

The answer? When all 512MB isnt available to the game because yMB is being comsumed by the OS *AND IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE GAME*.

That yMB on the PS3 is MUCH greater than on the Xbox 360. So, while ...

"The GPU in the PS3 is comparable in speed to the 360's GPU"

It is well accepted that the Xbox 360 GPU is superior to the PS3s.

And, the Cell is only superior if a dev takes *a lot* of time and effort to write code to take advantage of it.

That *time and effort* costs money.

You sony zealots can slice it any way you can; but this is a serious problem for Sony.

The PS3 is *not* the dominant platform, *AND* the games sales are weak as PS3 sales are actually split between "game guyers" and "bluray buyers".

For Developers, they need *game sales* -- and they arent going to continue to BURN money (time and effort == money) for PS3 games that dont sell. That is not going to happen.

3rd party support is al...

Of course it makes sense *to you*. Your an irrational zealot.

To the rest of the world, this is a "WTF" answer. Not every game should be a run-and-gun shooter. Killzone2 was going to be the first proper cover-based Multi-player for PS3. Now what?

It would be nice if you zealots would admit when you're getting lied to and shafted.

Its too bad you'd rather bend over backwards and make excuses than keep them honest -- its only YOU who lo...

Ouch. That's pretty terrible.

Sony cannot afford any more screw ups like this. SOCOM is a *VERY* heavily expected title; the PS3 cannt afford any-more of these monumentally epic failures.

Wow, just wow.

Scene It sold 660k.

That is more than PS3 Ridge Racer, Sing Star, UTIII, Virtua Fighter 5, Warhawk, Grid, Haze, Lair, Dark Sector, Eye of Judgement, Buzz (quiz tv) (sold 210k)...

Shall I go on?

Yes, on the Xbox 360, it was not a "top seller", but it sold VERY WELL and certainly was a success.

LBP is not a "casual game" -- its a physics based platformer. Not "casual" in any sense.

The casual market doesnt read IGN's "high-minded video-game critiques" -- its a MOVIE TRIVIA GAME.

IGN's review doesnt matter -- the casual market will buy this in droves, and they'll love it.

We have the original Scene It, and i'll be getting this too. Sometimes, when we have guests, people want to play a "game" instead of just Rock Band 2.

Scene it has been very popular.

I'll be getting this too.

Yes, consoles in japan just arent as important as they were, its a portables market atm it seems.

However, its not a small matter that the Xbox 360 is outselling the PS3 (and PS2 now) for that smaller slice.

That says something very clearly: Japan's *game players* are choosing Xbox 360.
