Thats almost as ridiculous. your gamertag is stored on LIVE.
If your machine was stolen, you'd still keep your gamertag.
What is so "crap" about the Avatars?
They are 3D people -- no more, no less. They are a superior implementation than currently in the market. And they will be used to "embody" the player in games (like Kingdom for Keflings (which, is pretty good actually)).
They are excellent in fact. Good move by MS. They are more customizeable, more refined and more varied than previous implementations. And, in the future, you know that they will become...
Not as sophisticated as XMB?
Huh? There's a lot more "going on" in NXE than XMB, more animation, better organization, navigation and features.
NXE is vastly superior to the UI on Wii or PS3. Not to mention the *featuers* -- which really put NXE way out front.
"where to enter redeem codes"

"no sony films on netflix"
Who cares? Its sony's loss. Netflix isnt going to let Sony try and screw Netflix's customers for long. This is Sony shooting itself in the foot -- and, is probably going to attract the anti-competitive / monopoly regulators and DOJ. There are laws against this kind of anti-competitive behaviour.
...
Loving it.
Did the update on 3 different boxes -- my pro, my elite and my newphews elite -- and not a hitch.
Seamless, you should have seen his face when the introductory video played - priceless.
He loves the Avatars, and his mother was really excited to hear about the coming primetime games -- they play games like Scene It and Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader together, she thougth Primetime sounded interesting.
Poopsocking is what PS3 owners are having to do while they wait for Home... 2 years and counting.
WOoT!
Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope, on 09.03.03 - sooner than I expected. I've played more JRPGs this year than I have in the last 4.
Terrific work MS. And, this game looks just awesome.
Thats the first thing I thought.
McAfee isnt diversified like Symantec.
And, MFE seems to be doing fine.

Perhaps the financial dudes on Wallstreet didnt get this geek news, this is going to devestate the Virus Apps software... BIG TIME.
AVG, Norton, McCafee are all doomed.
No. I dont want MS owning Studios.
I dont want SONY to have an MPAA divison. Its anti-competitive, and it leads to this kind of anti-customer crap.
Imagine if every TV station sold its on "proprietary TV". Or, every MPAA member sold its own disc-format. Or, its own set-top.
I want these firms SEPERATE.
yet, you all seem to attack MS when it does nothing like this at all.
And, its *really* funny you've got...
'Microsoft buys 10 times as many timed exclusives and DLC exclusives as Sony."
More empty guesses.
How do you know that the producers dont want to bring attractive content to the higher-sales platform? How do you *know* that MS is "buying" this stuff?
Prodcution costs are higher on the PS3 **and** sales are lower (per console *and* in total) -- seems to me that a smart producer wants to GIVE some DLC exclusivity in order to attract ...
Nice try. More lame excuses. Sony's MPAA division is screwing its customers (netflix subscribers who own Xbox 360s) and here you are, making up BS to apologize for it.
Keep up the lame excuses, I hope you like your memory sticks.
You *love* their anti-competitive, anti-customer behaviour?
You *like* that they treat their customers (netflix subscribers) like shiat? That they try and extort those customers to force them to use sony hardware to see Sony's MPAA films?
This is 100% typical, anti-customer behaviour from sony -- they *always* try and control its customers. They are anti-fair use (bluray) and anti-cooperation / standards (memory stick, atrac, DAT, UMD, MicroMV...) every opportu...
"Microsoft aren't paying anything for Sony's films, they're getting a freebie because of Netflix having already paid the license. "
And How the FCUK do you know that?
You know what MS & Netflix deal is like? You **KNOW** that Netflix doesnt have to pay for every film played? Or, perhaps for every platform supported? Or both?
You **KNOW** that Netflix didnt work out a deal where MS paid those fees?
You KNOW this how? ...
Very sad. Sony's MPAA divison *RULES* that company.
This is anti-competitive and dirty-pool.
During the height of the "Studio System" for film making, the Federal Government came in and prevented the Studios (the producers) from owning the FILM THEATERS.
This could very well be a violation of law, for Sony to restrict its films from showing in "competitive theaters".
no matter how you slice it, this is just more ...
Reviewers arent "picking" on Resistance.
Its an uninspired, "me too", copy-thon of a game. Unoriginal. Uninspired. It looks *terrible*.
Its not worthy of the competition in the market - many many FPS titles are superior.
That is why they're giving it poor reviews -- because the game is mediocre.
You really need to take a step back and be honest, it's not any more compelling than Haze.
Another epic AAA for Xbox 360 owners. And, the NXE's new party system is going to rock for this title.
party up, then launch the game... great move MS.
How about the fact that the graphics look like garbage.
Super awesome. Bring on Halo 3: Recon!
"one of the best multiplayer games weve every played"
wow. amazing praise.
This game is going to be TERRIFIC fun with the NXE's new party experience.
Cant wait.
So you *like* that Sony is screwing Netflix's customers?
You're ridiculous.
