Gears of War -- not just Gears of War 2, but the original -- looks better than Resistence 2 FFS.

Resistance 2 gameplay:

The problem with Resistance 2 is independant of other titles. Comparing it to the sequal to such a popular and critically acclaimed Game of the Year is unfair to Resistance 2. Its not in the same league.

In a technical sense, Resistance 2 isnt up to the standard of the title you compared it to.

The graphics of Resistance 2 are *very* weak. The animation, textures and lighting are also very weak.

The game just _looks_ so terrible. The character animation is weak, texture and lighting is like a PS2 title.

Its just a mediocre title.

BUT, in its defence (and I hvaent played it yet), I suspect that it has a high-drama story arc, which I personally enjoy.

I'll be playing it anyway, but this game's graphics just looks really bad.

Dont think so. Sites - like this one -- have been glossing over its shortcomings, breathlessly fawning over it..

nevermind the launch faliure, the problems people have had with controlling, the bugs and glitches...

Bad Press? no. The press has been overly-forgiving for LBP.

Enjoy it on your PC, this game is made to be played on Xbox LIVE -- and with the new NXE, it will be terrific.

And, w/r/t '360 meltdown' -- thats nonsense. The heat issues were fixed in the middle of **LAST YEAR**.

The Wii and Xbox 360 are both dominating the PS3. Is the Wii doing better than the Xbox 360? In some respects (consoles sold) yes; in many other respects (online community, total spending, attach rates) no.

Except the Wii isnt "dominating" the Xbox 360.

Xbox 360 is #1 in Total Spending this generation; that includes consoles, accessories, services and games.

Wii is #1 in console sales alone.

PS3 is **3RD** in Console Sales, Attach Rate.

While the Wii console has outsold the Xbox 360 console; the Xbox 360 is selling piles of games -- the highest attach rate in the history of gaming (as a matter of fact).

Really? Hundreds of Millions of dollars are in the difference there. And, with the Xbox 360 being the only serious opportunity for 3rd parties -- as Wii is a 1st party machine, and PS3's tie rate is a full 25% lower -- I'd say it is very meaningful.

It means that 3rd parties are going to start looking to earn money where it is available: on the Xbox 360.
