Agree that the biggest games in the world are online multiplayer games like Fortnite. But if you look at the number of releases coming out each year, single player games are still very much in business. In fact, considering the demise of games-as-service titles line Marvel’s Avengers, Anthem, Outriders, and Fallout 76, I think single player games are doing great.

Agree 100%. Microsoft has already stated a goal of reaching 45M Game Pass subscribers. They also announced a raise in the price of Xbox Live Gold to $10/month before the internet pounced on them. Their plans are quite clear.
As a consumer, it’s all about economics. If I have to buy the games I like on top of paying for Game Pass, then the service is a money loser. If I don’t, it’s probably a winner. Simple as that.

Gamers have different price sensitivity and different amounts of free times to play games. Me personally, I buy most games on sale at least a year after their release. I also don’t have time keep up with all of the games handed out by PlayStation Plus. I’m drowning in games.
The expeditions solve this problem. You can build up your Traveller very quickly with quest rewards, when there is another expedition, it will be a great time to jump back in.

Big open world but not open options for gameplay. Great game. 100% agree that is a 10/10 like the previous Red Dead Redemption. But it’s not a Morrowind where you can break the game and kill a god. Definitely not the greatest open world game of all time.
