I have to confess I haven't got a clue what the Devs are smoking here. I really cannot see this achieving any success on the PC. Still nothing ventured nothing gained I guess. Thankfully this is one game that won't suffer horrendous piracy, but then it won't sell eithe on the PC either.
Yeah yeah PC dying yadda yadda just because the xbox 360 gets ONE turn based strategy game. Well run for the hills ma the PC has Devil May Cry 4, coming to the PC are burnout paradise and streetfigher (all considered console games). Oh well according to this guys logic then the consoles are dying. Why get a console when you can play console games on your home PC.

You seem to completely miss the point, well done on that. I would never argue that the consoles are not efficient, however that does not make them "beasts" it makes them efficient. You guys keep throwing the PS2 games in my face as if they are some sort of benchmark. Yes what they did with the PS2 was good but the games still ran in a low resolution of 640 x 480. I wondered how long it would take you lot to bring out the upscaling card. Yeah you play a game natively rendered at 1024 x 768 UPSCALED to 1920 x 1080. There is a world of difference between doing the res natviely and scaling to it. If you can't see that then you are blind in more ways than one. To claim you are running in higher resolutions because the image is upscaled is nothing but lunacy and a great big cop out.

@ 6.7 Yeah and it was running in a low resolution of 640 x 480 and it shows. Whilst you were running games in that low resolution I was already running games at 1024 x 768, you know the native resolution of MGS4. It is the same now, you are harping at how much of a monster your console is yet it only runs games at 1024 x 768 if you are lucky. I am running ALL my games at 1680 x 1050 natively. That will soon change when I get my new monitor that will support 1900 x 1200.

Yeah and of course the PC can't use blu-ray can it .......... Oh wait yes it can. All we need to do is shove a cheap blu-ray drive in there if we want. We could even install the whole game to the PC if we were bothered, 50gbs wouldn't even make a dent in my 1TB hard disc.

As for not comparing a PC with a console, I dunno you have a chat with your PS3 buddies and tell them to stop comparing the PS3 to the PC all the time. I do see an odd pattern though, they only compare the PS3 to the PC when it is "favourable" to the PS3, hm strange that.
Hm he thinks a machine is a "beast" because it can render his game at 1024 x 768 with 2 x AA. He better avoid the PC's then because it would blow his mind even a midrange PC can render games better than that. I haven't used such a low resolution in 5 years on my PC.

Oh new products from Rockstar, I wonder what they will be ? How about GTA the card game, GTA the java mobile phone game or even better go the whole hog and give us GTA 4 monopoly.
I don't see why it should be problematic to bring this game to the PC control system. Seems pretty simple to me WASD for walking and using the mouse to look around. To be honest I don't know why they would bother to bring this to the PC. As a long time PC gamer I will steer clear of it, most console games don't give me the depth I want these days.
Maybe they can get EA to do the PC port then PC gamers can whinge and moan as much as PS3 owners do about a crappy port. Oh no wait that won't happen if it's a crappy port we simply won't buy it, but we won't make a song and dance about it either.
I do not agree I say MS should dump it's console and get back to PC gaming. After all it is the PC footing the bill for the Xbox console.

I wouldn't worry about it, this has nothing to do with whether the orange box is broken or not on the PS3 and has everything to do with certain PS3 users needing an excuse to throw their bottle out of the pram. I can tell you now if Valve said "our next game is going to be PS3 only" you would have them fornicating themselves to death and hailing Gabe as the new messiah.

Well this will probably be unpopular with everyone. But as a PC gamer can I just say "stop bringing this crap to the PC". If I wanted to play generic Japanese RPG six hundred and ten I would buy a console to play the thing on. I really think devs have lost most of their senses these days.
