So many examples for Square-Enix I don't think I'd be able to recall them all off the top of my head;
- Not remaking the games fans actualy asked for, whilst teasing them with the FFVII PS3 trailer, and remaking every game fans didn't ask for;
- FFXIII - Last minute multiplatform announcement, bad game design that ditched the features fans liked about FF to begin with, then an unprecedented two sequels delivered, despite general dislike for the entry;
Twilight Princess, although still really good, is probably my least favourite 3D Zelda. Then again, I played it immediately after Skyward Sword, which I considered amazing.
I love Mario Kart 8, but what in gods name did they do to the battle mode?! It used to be my favourite feature, but without arenas, it's a mess :(
I just watched the E3 gameplay demo, and there was barely any gameplay in it! COD may still have its appeal, but it's no longer the game it was when I first got into it.
People simply want to know whether or not a game is worth buying. It seems that at some point, it was arbitrarily decided that a 9 or more out of 10 review score = worth buying.
Remember 9/10 is supposed to be for games that are amazing. Consider how rare it is for a film to get 4.5 stars out of 5. Consider how many good films get 4 stars or less. Consider how many 9/10 games came out last gen that were actually crap.
It's crazy to think that Team ICO missed an entire console generation.
That said, Team ICO doesn't owe me a goddamn thing. Even if TLG sucks (which it won't), I'll still have my fond memories of SOTC thanks to them.
Nintendo seems to be consistently hitting 60fps in their games. I'd have thought based on your username that you'd be happy about that.

Basically this. Native 1080p should have gone without saying this gen. If BOTH consoles were regularly achieving it, then it would simply not be a topic of discussion.
That said, if the gameplay is good enough, then resolution is inconsequential.
60fps is something that competent developers should always strive for, while a solid 30 is still perfectly acceptable for certain games, as long as we leave screen tearing in last gen.
I liked it too.
Also, as crap as the N64 South Park game was, the anti-gravity UFO multiplayer level made for some fun deathmatches. Terrance vs Phillip floating around firing nerf darts at eachother, good times.
I hate Mii's - actually I like the concept, but they just seem so thoughtlessly designed.
"FFXV seems to be in development hell"
MEGATON
I'm still waiting for a game like colonial marines that's actually good
It kind of does though, look up Okamiden, on DS
They kind of are though, look up TimeSplitters Rewind, coming to PC and PS4 using the CryEngine.
I think you're missing the point of Pokemon. Re-releases like this are not made to please every manchild who wants his old single player game intact, they're about evolving the metagame, and making money.
Doesn't make sense you say? Nothing about Pokemon makes sense!
Being able to care less is only possible if he cares to some degree at least...
Please be exci-aaaaAAAAAARRRRRGGGHHHH I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!

Someone at Sony might have said that, but the reality is that they were desperate to bring the price of the PS3, that's why BC was removed.
Some people like the idea of playing their favourite old games presented in the best way possible. Consoles don't have the luxury that PC's enjoy, where games can be easily made to look/run better than at their original release.
